Bar food

Post by TG1996 »

After a rough test-drive, I tried out something my mom made when I was home Thanksgiving weekend, and couldn't remember if we had much of a "bar food" thread here.

Anyway, I cut four or five smallish potatoes into wedges, skins on, coat 'em in olive oil in a mixing bowl, then throw whatever kind of spice/herb mix in there, bake at 425 for about 45 minutes. (I thought mom had said go for an hour, but they dried up and burned when I tried that. I had planned on checking in at 45 min, but they seemed perfect when I pulled them out.)

As far as spices today, I threw in garlic powder, then mixed roughly 3 parts chili powder, 2 parts onion powder and 1 part cumin. Probably could have stepped it up a bit from there, but it smelled fantastic and tasted just as great. Super easy, too.
