I think they said Suisham needed to use a tee for the kick.

I didn't see too many people show emotion tonight, other than Magner and Suisham yelling at each other after the missed FG that would have put us up 9.

I know we've always been positive about Omar's ability to keep a level head. But I gotta think tonight someone needed to step up on offense and show some intensity. Omar looked shaky, playing with some passion would have helped him. Pope had a great game, but one guy can't make the team... Someone needed to make a statement and it didn't happen.

This is correct. Omar did get frustrated, you could see it. You should never, ever lose a game where you led by 20 at the half. On the road, on the moon, on the street, or in the Glass Bowl.

We missed plenty of opportunities in the first half--we should have been ahead even more.

You simply cannot count on a soph QB to lead you in a game like tonight's, somebody else has to step up. The blame for tonight's loss certainly doesn't lay at Omar's feet.

Flipper, I agree entirely. Nearly everyone involved failed in the second half.

Flipper -- I agree. This was a team loss. Offense, Defense, and coaching were all deficient tonight, especially in the second half. When you get torched 42-14 in one half of football, the blame can't be placed solely on the QB. Our defense continually allowed Gradkowski to have all the time he wanted to throw the ball. I don't remember any sacks of him, at least not in the second half. That second half was embarrassing.

Not only the lack of pressure in the second half, but also the breakdowns in coverage to go with. They had guys wide open all over the field. The lack of pressure was probably from not blitzing to much since we had the lead. But then we should have had seven guys in coverage, but it seemed more like we had only three or four.
