Indiana: Roll Call and predictions!

I'm planning on making the trip to Bloomington for this game. Anyone else heading out?

ABSOLUTELY!!! Any game that you don't have to fly to is a no brainer!! IU is like being in our back yard! (Also, that's why I don't have pets!)

IU's arena is about 45 minutes south of Indy. I can get to BG from Indy in about 3 hrs flat.

Do a mapquest to Bloomington, IN from wherever you're starting out, and subtract about 20 minutes, you'll have it. (Mapquest likes to have its drive time estimates done by 80 year old women.)

Well I just did a Google Maps track and it came up with 4hrs and 46 min drive from where I live. That is a long trip. If I decided to go I most definitely would want to ride with some one as I don't own a vehicle in good enough condition to make the trip. How much would tickets be anyway and who would you get them from IU or BG?

Columbus, Ohio to Indianapolis can be done in under 3 hours. Indy to Bloomington is about 45 minutes. If you take state road 67 from Indy to Bloomington, be aware of idiots. There is a lot of cross over traffic and people will pull out in front. There are a lot of accidents on that road. There are also a lot of toothless people, in Morgan County. This might have something to do with the accidents.

Already been over to their site, tickets are $5

$5.00 AND they have the most pathetic support of women's athletics at that school so you'll be able to get almost any seat you want at the door. This will probably be yet another road game where there are more BG fans in the building than home team fans.

Maybe. It is probable an hour and 45 minutes from Lafayette to Bloomington. After the way the Steelers played, it is tempting to stay home and go to this game instead.

yes!!! Greenwood is VERY close to B-Town.

Actually, for those who have never been to Bloomington, it is SO easy to get around. The entire town (at least the campus) is based off of 2 streets. College Ave runs south and one block to the east, Walnut St. runs north. Everything you need to find (bars, gas stations, grocery, the arena, whatever...) will be an off-shoot of those 2 streets. The arena is off of E. 17th st. (directly next door to the football stadium) and parking is (or at least used to be) free and plentiful.

And....to play it safe, leave I-470 one exit earlier than S. Kentucky St. and use State Highway 37 to get from Indy to B-Town....then take the College Ave exit. That way, you won't have any trouble with the idiots that tiznow spoke of along Hwy 67. lol!!! (he's VERY serious about them along that road too!!!)

BGWomen your are right. SR 67 is the better way. I live on the westside of Indy, so 37 is easier for me, but not from Ohio. I am not sure what gas prices are in Ohio, but there are truck stops on 67 once you get off I-465. That area usualyy has the cheapest gas. $2.68 this morning. This can sometimes slow down traffic at that intersection. Have fun at hte game. Cheer on BG to victory.

Since I am post happy today, here is another one. The speed limit in Indiana is 70 on the interstates. I-465 is the beltway around Indy, it is still 55. If you go 55 you will be run off the road.

I thought the same thing as I got passed pushing 70 on I-70 near Emerson... of course, that stretch is still an ISP parking lot most days, so maybe I should dial it down a bit.

Speaking of fan support (or lack thereof) for Big Ten women's athletics , I'm watching a little bit of Michigan women play USC at UM on BTN and there's no one there (okay maybe 400 people),unbelievable.

I-74 never seems to have a lot of traffic. They are building a huge Honda plant that you will see at the Greensbug exit.
