Don't think anything else would ever have even crossed the minds of Toledo fans! Not sure why a BG fan would question that. And the Glass Bowl is the coolest stadium anywhere.bsman62 wrote:"and if he's straight"

UT also has a history of great OL including Nick Kazur who starts for N England PAts and John Greco, 3 time all-MAC. Good luck with your son's decision-gotta be an exciting, if stressful, time for you.

Kazur is one of the best OL I've ever seen in the MAC. Good to see him doing well in NE.

Wasnt BG forced to cap its enrollment in or Toledo would have went out of existenceh2oville rocket wrote:I think, too, with all the great entertainment and cultural opportunities in BG and the beautiful campus, basketball facility and stadium that its hard to imagine anyone picking UT over BG. I guess all those people that do pick UT just don't get it.
I think we're getting a rep for great centers (with really long names)! Scott M. is playing for San Diego and Kory L. will be playing on Sundays, too.h2oville rocket wrote:UT also has a history of great OL including Nick Kazur who starts for N England PAts and John Greco, 3 time all-MAC. Blaine is a great kid from a great family.
Blaine will make the right decision for himself and will go on to a stellar career in college football. Love to see him playing a lot of Saturdays in Bowling Green in the years to come.
BTW...Welcome to the nest Mr Phillips. Your assignment will be to kick the ball to Lake Erie every chance you get!! Looking forward seeing you in the BG uniform the next number of years.
Mr Phillips is one of the three who committed this past weekend. BGSU is having a great class of kids for 2008.
I think what he was trying to say is, if he's still wrestling with a decision come signing day, at least wait until the first warm day of the spring and take a stroll past Macdonald Quad.bsman62 wrote:"and if he's straight"

Since it's a little too late to nab him with ribs and perch, we might as well introduce him to the gaggle of coeds who think "Ooh! It's 65 degrees, where's that two-piece!?!?!"

No. Toledo would not have went out of existence. The State of Ohio needed UT so that at least one NW Ohio university would have an English department that would teach people to say "would have gone out of existence".Globetrotter wrote: Wasnt BG forced to cap its enrollment in or Toledo would have went out of existence
I think that UT having a medical school, engineering school and pharmacy school in a metro area (that includes Wood County) of nearly 500,000, pretty much assures we'll be around for awhile. If Mr. Fingerhut has his way we may even have a satellite campus about twenty miles south.
Anyway, bsman62, we would love to have Blain playing in the Glass Bowl for a coach who is a former O-lineman. If he makes a youthful error, however, and attends BG I'm sure he'll get a fine education.

Enjoy the slight edge you have in your basketball facility now, because in 5 years ALL of BG's facilities will be better than Toledo's!h2oville rocket wrote:I think, too, with all the great entertainment and cultural opportunities in BG and the beautiful campus, basketball facility and stadium that its hard to imagine anyone picking UT over BG. Considering goal post is heading south and Lake Erie is somewhere over the players tunnel, we'll settle for kicking it to Perrysburg and/or Cygnet, whichever is appropriate at the time.freefalcon wrote: BTW...Welcome to the nest Mr Phillips. But point taken.
