Annnnnndddd...in spite of our often times contentious discussions (witness the multi-page thread on coach Brandon's contract extension) we don't exile anyone or "force them off"...no matter how insane their ramblings become.

OTOH, the moderators at the UT sites support the use of waterboarding on anyone who won't support the induction of CHuck Ealy into the college football hall of fame...they also have a method of torture known as "Amstutzing". This widely condenmed practice involves the use of physical restraints and the coach's unwashed "lucky underpants"....decorum forbids me from going further, but you get the idea...
Not to mention the classless moderator "Karl" on the MACbbs board who goes in and changes the text of other peopless posts just trying to be funny. For example, I typed once about being more savvy than some other poster, a totally harmless remark, and Karl felt the need to alter my post to say that I was more silly than the other poster or something like that.
I think you are confusing TJ with Karl.
Don't think so, TJ is not a "Super" moderator as Karl is. And I am not talking about changing my post when quoting it in a reply, I am talking about modifying my original post as if I typed it that way myself.

Again, I have no problems if I say something that is in violation of the AUP, but it is childish and classless to do so for any other reason.

You haven't seen real women until you leave the entire Toledo/Bowling Green Northwest Ohio area. Neither school has much to be proud of my friend.
Sorry rf, can't agree with that. BG has PLENTY of good looking women...always have. BGSU = Beautiful Girls State University

Or..

Beer Guzzling State University. LOL
Of course the latter may explain the former. But I'm with you Freak- there is nothing about geography that improves the looks of women- they're everywhere. UT=University of Toomanygoodlookingwomentocount.

A UT-grad friend of mine came up to us at the tailgate last month and said he wishes we played earlier in the season, because he knows BG has a lot of hot women, but they only get to see them when they're bundled up in late November.

if you're so sure, then explain how the Rockets actually won by eight?

Hey, never let facts get in the way of some good innuendo.

Ok..they won by 8..why was he shooting a uncontested 3 at the buzzer again? Never let the facts get in the way of someone trying to be funny...answer the question h2oRocket!

Samarco was shooting while guys shook hands before games even started. :-D

In the game of basketball one shoots the ball towards a round hoop in order to score points. This occurs at convenient times throughout the game when it appears likely that the ball might go in and not be deterred by an opposing player. Here's a link that might help you with the rules. Sorry, I don't have one that can help you with fact checking.

Hope this helps.

You could always spend tome over the the rocket "rent a board" where it is all very factual information!

This thread is hilarious. And pretty chippy. Which is also hilarious.

Frankly, I think Bowling Green's teams have always played a little above their heads. Our teams are better than most, most of the time -- and when you look at the history of our institution and the resources it has and all that, sometimes it's hard not to wonder: Why?

An old boss asked me about that once. He was a cigar-chomping Kent State grad -- a grizzled newsroom creature right out of that cartoon strip Shoe. It was 1994, and I was rambling on and on about how good our football team was. (And, boy, were the Falcons good that year!)

Why was it, he asked, that Bowling Green always seemed to be able to bring in good football players? Kent State is practically in that Cleveland/Pittsburgh recruiting sweet spot. How was it, he wondered, that Bowling Green always manage to bring in better players?

I didn't have an answer for him. But I've always thought about that question.

I just think there's a sense of community in Bowling Green -- a basic niceness -- that you just know when you see. It's contagious. It's real.

That was my parents' experience. Most of my college expenses were not their responsibility, but occasionally they did come to deal with the Bowling Green bursar's office.

They loved dealing with BG.

I had two brothers, both at a Michigan public university, and my parents say the difference was astounding. With my brothers' institution, they were always butting heads with petty bureaucrats. At Bowling Green, they were dealing with real people.

Based on that experience alone, I think I've converted my old man into a BG fan.

I know Rocket fans are proud of their program. The Glass Bowl is a decent football stadium. And so on.

But UT is not the same. It may have a law school and a med school, but it's not the same kind of residential learning experience. It's not the kind of all consuming learning community that we have built together.

UT always reminded me of a commuter school. University of Cincinnati too.

Something about small town USA with a major university always appealed to me. I too think people are nicer in that type of setting.

This thread has been fun...but seriously, I'm sure Blaine will be happy with his choice no matter what path he takes as he's looking at some very solid programs at great institutions.

I'm a bit concerned about Blaire though....he doesn't seem as savvy as Blaine...

I will agree with you that there are good looking women at BG..........but don't even try to compare them with the women in many southern states. They don't even come close to comparing to what you find in Virginia either.......I mean GOOD LORD!!!!!
