A very well earned award, for a guy who has contributed so much to the betterment of Falcon hockey.

Wow, going in with Stan Mikita. The younger generation would remember him as the guy with the donut shop in Wayne's World's Aurora, but he was a heck of a hockey player!

Give my generation credit many of us know about the Mikita slapshot and the curved stick.
As for the Ilinois hockey hall of fame.....not too many players from Illinois, but I'll give my top 10
10. Andy "waste o' space" Wozniewski - current Maple Leaf
9. Bates Battaglia- current Maple Leaf former Lake Stater
8. Rick Zombo- former Blues/Wings defencman
7. Tom Priesing- current LA King
6. Brett Lebda- current Red Wing former Notre Damer
5. Joe Corvo- current Seneturd
4. Tony Granato- former King/Shark
3. Eddie Olcyzk- former point leader for American born Player
2. Cammie Granato- Captain of US woman team to first gold (only Olympic womans hockey team to win other than team Canada)
1. Chris Chelios- current senior citizen for the Red Wings[/code]
Dave Ellett is a hero. A Bowling Green Falcon and a Former Jet and Maple Leaf. What more can a Winnipegger ask for.
