Get in line. This team is going to set all sorts of new "lows" for UK basketball. Its pretty ugly down here. I agree that new coaches should get a first year pass. Still its pretty hard down here for fans to swallow that when they pay almost 30$ a ticket (upper level) and have had 10+ years of 20win seasons (even if it was with that awful coach tubby smith ) We'll see how this season holds up, Gillisie still hasn't signed his contract so who knows what will happen when come March and UK isn't dancing.
Funny we are talking about Kentucky. Last time we played the Wildcats was in 88-89. We kicked their asses AT Rupp arena. We had an extremely talented guy by the name of Darrell McLane who flat out ran circles around Sean Sutton, coach Eddie Sutton's son. That was a fun win by a decent but otherwise unremarkable BG team. McLane only stuck around one year and then drifted off. He was a troubled kid, but a really nice kid, and definitely one of the most talented guards I've ever seen at BG.
Beating teams like Michigan, Maryland, Kentucky don't really do crap for the MAC. Good MAC teams SHOULD be beating bad teams from power conferences.

Grant's dad had a name for McClane: "Much Traveled", after a recruiting magazine's description of his circuitous route to BG. He went to about three D1 and JCs before he got to BG and a couple more after. Would look like an NBA guy one day and a CYO player the next. I forgot all about him.
I'm not getting on Orr at all. I'm only stating that we are thin down low with Larson and Polk and we have a big young athletic player sitting next to our trainer all year wasting his first year of elgibility. If he's not going to see the floor ever, then red-shirt him.

Arkansas St. kill us in the final, I was one of only 10-12 Falcon fans there.
McLane could really play! Didn't he have a big game against Michigan State too when they came to Anderson Area.
I seem to remember that McLane had a monster game against someone early in the season (maybe Siena in the opener?) ... he had a 30-plus point game against somebody.
Also, I think it's too late for Madlock to redshirt. He has played in 2 games, including the season's fourth and eighth games. I don't think a redshirt is a possibility for him any more.
