By the time he left the team part way through his second year, he was listed at 6' and 170. There have been plenty of players that size or smaller who have turned out just fine. Sharon was around that size or a little lighter when he got here, Roger Williams and Antonio Smith are not much bigger than that, and so far, Geter seems to be doing pretty well for being even smaller. His size alone wasn't an issue.
Maybe he wasn't DI material and/or maybe he decided he wanted to do other things with his time. Whatever the reason for him moving on, I don't see the point in dogging him like that.

I actually saw D. Jenkins on the hoof at the Falcon baseball camp last Saturday. He came overt from Gary, Indiana with another HS teamate. I have never seen him play football, but BELIEVE ME, he is VERY athletic looking, and if looks are anything, he'll start his first game. FYI, he is also a pitcher, and has some interest in doing both at BG. When he walked in the door, you KNEW he was an athlete!

I understand your point being made, but it was a bad comparison using Roger Williams and Antonio, those boys are MUCH bigger than Rhett.able1 wrote:By the time he left the team part way through his second year, he was listed at 6' and 170. Heck, did you ever see Cole? He wasn't exactly big.moneymaker02 wrote:the ONLY reason he was on the team was because of cole. did you ever see the guy? he was like 5-9 165, prolly would have been a decent intramural player at best. as far as im concerned he took up a scholly from someone who was more deserving.
(But, gosh, he was good).
Your post seems a bit mean spirited for my taste.
