A contact is any face-to-face encounter between a prospective student-athlete, the prospect's parents or legal guardian(s), and an institutional staff member or athletics representative during which any dialogue occurs in excess of an exchange of a greeting. Additionally, any face-to-face encounter that is prearranged or that takes place on the grounds of the prospect's educational institution or at the site of organized competition or practice involving the prospect or the team the prospect represents shall be considered a contact, regardless of the conversation which occurs. (NCAA Bylaws 13.02.3, 13.1.7)
The meeting was not pre-arranged. The meeting did not take place on the grounds of the prospect's educational institution. It did not take place at the site of organized competition or practice involving the prospect or the prospect's high school.
Okay, so I asked him if his team made the high-school playoffs so I guess that was more than just a greeting. Also, your bolded paragraph does not say anything about the $1,000 we each gave him, so there!
You could just take my advice for future reference instead of continuing to try to refute me. The part about being pre-arranged says ADDITIONALLY. It doesn't have to be pre-arranged to fall into this category. The pre-arranged part basically says that you can't even exchange a greeting.

The information is appreciated, but you lost me at "HOLY CRAP!!!!".
At the opening ceremonies of the SEBO, Greg Christopher reminded us that, as members of the Falcon Club (nearly all were), to "welcome to BG" as our standard statement...IF ANY ... to any of the 100 or so recruits who were on campus that day (in many sports). We were definitely given the impression that conversations BEYOND that point, unless we actually knew the kid or his family, were discouraged.
Education our Challenge, Excellence our goal. (look it up)
How about if everyone just shuts the **** up about this stuff instead of creating a permanent record on the internet that is available to any and everyone who wants to read it?
Even if nothing questionable happened, why continue to leave a "paper" trail of suspicion that will be archived for posterity??
I wasn't there, I don't know what happened, but geez folks... why have a discussion that can create rumors and put doubts "out there??"

Well...obviously because we're f**ucking stupid...
This reminds me of a joke...Mickey Mouse goes to see a lawyer about a divorce from Minnie. The lawyer says "Mickey, I know that Minnie's may seem crazy, but I don't think that's grounds for divorce".
Mickey replies..."I didn't say she was crazy, I said she was f**king Goofy"
It's not the fall that hurts...it's when you hit the ground.
On New Year's Eve, I will be at a party with someone that looks just like the Doctor's helper, below. Well, it's the host's wife, actually. Still, one never knows one's luck: being there is nine tenth's of the sale, so they say.

Not a bad idea
I am getting sick at seeing the TOLEDO flags too.
I happened to live in Toledo for two years about 20 years ago. I still have the Toledo stink on me and I have tried everything known to man to get rid of it. It did weaken a little after November 23rd.

I removed the signature, just for you.
I haven't lived in the city of Toledo for over 10 years. However, if you are worried about stink don't ever drive through Detroit or Cleveland.
