Anthony Turner – BG’s “MVP”

Post by BGSU33 »

Anthony Turner has been our MVP this year, as in - Most Versatile Player. This kid has turned in a helluva season and I am so happy for him and it’s great to see him bounce back and respond in the fashion he did this season. We all know about the poor decision he made prior to the start of last season and how he struggled through the 2006 campaign. Turner certainly took his share of lumps and criticism. He then lost the starting QB spot before this year and once the season was underway, he really wasn’t seeing much playing time at all. He easily could have folded and just stuck his head in the sand, but he didn’t. He persevered, he hung in there, he made the most of the opportunities when given the chances to on the field, and he has really come on strong. Towards the end of the season, he has been doing it all for us…playing QB, RB and WR and excelling in all areas by either running, throwing and even blocking. This kid has been a huge asset to our team and I’m thrilled to see him respond like he has. The best part is, he’ll be back for one more season! Keep it up AT!

I couldn't agree more. He has shown great character and determination. Without AT's production over the second half of the season, I'm not so sure we would even be playing in a bowl game.

If he had he'd be in pretty good company- Pulitzer prize winners, award winning musicians, great authors. Someday, maybe.
