Back to the article and these recruits. If these guys are as good as we hope they are it's the best possible news for our future. It's all about blocking and tackling. QB's and RB's will want to come here and play behind them and allows us to fill the one area hit hard for next year's team in the immediate future. I'm pumped!

Quite. If Florida Atlantic can go from zero to hero in 7 years, a program like BGSU should be able to grab this brave new world of "parity" by the horns and move the chains.

Even if nothing questionable happened, why continue to leave a "paper" trail of suspicion that will be archived for posterity??

I wasn't there, I don't know what happened, but geez folks... why have a discussion that can create rumors and put doubts "out there??"
Not a bad idea

I am getting sick at seeing the TOLEDO flags too.

I happened to live in Toledo for two years about 20 years ago. I still have the Toledo stink on me and I have tried everything known to man to get rid of it. It did weaken a little after November 23rd.

I removed the signature, just for you. ;-)

I haven't lived in the city of Toledo for over 10 years. However, if you are worried about stink don't ever drive through Detroit or Cleveland.

HOLY CRAP! Is Ryan Artullo trying to ruin BG? Please take my suggestion and don't make contact with Stevens again until he is at campus at BG!!!

It is a NCAA violation to talk to a recruit, even on a message board, even by fans. These things are monitored by the NCAA.

BGSU's athletic department is aware of the situation, moving on.

It is also an NCAA violation to pay Troy Smith and Maurice Clarrett to play for your team.

Nice try but those were investigated and proven false. OSU didnt give Mo anythng..The booster did and he was banned for life and Mo was suspended for the rest of his career.

Try again.

Take note of this:

"Clyde kicker Jerry Phillips has also committed to BG. Phillips will grayshirt next year, meaning he won't enroll in school until January, 2009, making him a member of the 2009 recruiting class."
Seems as though i said this in October/November and got ripped for it.

Oh yeah, you got simply filleted. In fact, you can still see the blood dripping from the thread...

I think there was some question about the greyshirting process, but we were all thrilled with getting Jerry's apparently big-time leg.

It was actually Oct 1st in a recruiting thread and DD responded thusly:
DD wrote:Interesting about the K/P. I don't get in to recruiting that much because it seems a bit ridiculous to track 17 year old kids who might become Falcons or who might blow out their knee and never play again.

But, I was wondering about the Kicker situation with two Juniors I was wondering if we would bring in scholarship kicker or punter next season to "learn the ropes" so we aren't faced with true freshman, as we all know how well Brandon liked that experiment.
I'm not sure DD was "ripping" you. Not really his style. It was more counterpoint.

You had another post after the above, but deleted it on the 29th of Nov. I don't remember the content of that post so there may be more than I know about.

Since you have great information and enjoy sharing, don't be such a stranger around here. :-)
