HOLY CRAP! Is Ryan Artullo trying to ruin BG? Please take my suggestion and don't make contact with Stevens again until he is at campus at BG!!!
OH MY GOD!!11 SOMEBODY CALL THE NCAA QUICK!!!!111
It is a NCAA violation to talk to a recruit, even on a message board, even by fans. These things are monitored by the NCAA.
It is also an NCAA violation to pay Troy Smith and Maurice Clarrett to play for your team.
Nice try but those were investigated and proven false. OSU didnt give Mo anythng..The booster did and he was banned for life and Mo was suspended for the rest of his career.

Try again.
When I was a Junior in college my house got robbed. Like most college juniors I had $9,000 in cash under my bed. They took it all.

How very disappointing this must have been for you. I hope you learned to choose your future girlfriends with greater care, Globetrotter.

Well, your financial matters are not my issue, but they've got banks now. You can store your money there, and they'll even pay you interest for it. Sweet deal.

maybe I'm just missing the sarcasm by the three previous posters, but I believe that Globetrotter was taking another shot at Tek in the fact that AJ Hawk's house was robbed in Columbus when he was a junior and he had an obscene amount of cash for a college student just chillin around the apartment...

I could be wrong but I think that's what Globetrotter was getting at...

Rather, I think the previous three posters missed the sarcasm by Globetrotter... I followed, but probably only because I lived in Columbus when that happened.

I count two instances of sarcasm, and one of rather exquisite wit.

But, you have to look.

Not sure I'd call Falconboy's response exquisite but if you think it is well... ;-)

Folks...please, let's not start throwing words like "exquisite" around on a football forum. Unless of course you preceed it with the word "f**king...anything sounds macho if you say it in conjunction with an f bomb.
It's not the fall that hurts...it's when you hit the ground.

Strangely, I had "Modern Major General" playing in my head Thursday.

EDIT

Take note of this:

"Clyde kicker Jerry Phillips has also committed to BG. Phillips will grayshirt next year, meaning he won't enroll in school until January, 2009, making him a member of the 2009 recruiting class."
Seems as though i said this in October/November and got ripped for it.
It was actually Oct 1st in a recruiting thread and DD responded thusly:
DD wrote:Interesting about the K/P. I don't get in to recruiting that much because it seems a bit ridiculous to track 17 year old kids who might become Falcons or who might blow out their knee and never play again.

But, I was wondering about the Kicker situation with two Juniors I was wondering if we would bring in scholarship kicker or punter next season to "learn the ropes" so we aren't faced with true freshman, as we all know how well Brandon liked that experiment.
I'm not sure DD was "ripping" you. Not really his style. It was more counterpoint.

You had another post after the above, but deleted it on the 29th of Nov. I don't remember the content of that post so there may be more than I know about.

Since you have great information and enjoy sharing, don't be such a stranger around here. :-)
No problem here. I actually went up with Jerry during the Temple game and was in the recruiting process. I know they really like him and he is a good kid. I think that he will continue to work out in the fall, enroll in Jan of 2009, and participate in spring 2009. I had prob more of an inside scoop than most here. I asked to delete my posts because it wasn't official in terms of commitment and thought it would be better until it was announced.

I know our QB they know a lot about already and he is a Junior.

Embellish much? It was $3,000, not to mention his family is from Centerville, in other words his parents are pretty well off.
