Will be GREAT to see CP back on the field.

And Steffy had a solid year in his first as a starter....it sux for him breaking his leg. He'll be counted on for the next few seasons.

GO FALCONS
I'm dissappointed in Briggs too. Thats just unacceptable from a Jr. who hasn't been in trouble all year if if at all since he's been here only to screw up right before a bowl game. This hurts big time cuz there's no one with his size and quickness off the end to effectivly pass rush. Guys like Hardwick and Schaefer are more power run stuffing DE's than true pass rushers and we are going to need a pass rush to have a chance vs Tulsa's high powered offense. We could have 10 db's in coverage and it won't matter if the Tulsa qb feels no heat.

I agree Briggs is a HUGE loss, but dont forget about Angelo Magnone, he's a good pass rusher & probably one of the most underrated players on our team. Time for him to step up & have a big game!
4th & 13 on PU 32yd line.. 56,000 fans up on their feet screaming, i held my breath the entire play trying to make as little noise as possible.. wouldnt u know Sharon would make the biggest touchdown catch in the history of BG Football, FALCON UP!

Magnone is a LB , he may have lined up in a pseudo DE position at times in some games but is not a full time DE.

Magnone is a DE...he's been a DE all year, IIRC.
It's not the fall that hurts...it's when you hit the ground.

I wonder who the two academic casualties are? With Partridge seeing time at DB it makes me wonder if we are down a starter or reserve at that position. . .

Thats a possibility, but the article also says that they are practicing to play with a 5th DB since Tulsa will throw a lot. I hope its just that CP just wants to be able to play anywhere he can.

Hey, are you saying that falconboy doesn't know what he's talking about? Besides we all know that Magnone is too SMALL to play DE, right?

Not necessarily, I just can't stand it when someone takes the effort to say that I got something wrong, when in reality I didn't. The part that bothers me was that I was just speaking from what I've seen at the games I went to. So I very easily could have been wrong in this case because I didn't bother to look anything up. But no, my memory served me right. Magnone is a DE and a surprisingly good one from what I watched of him.
