Philadelphia Telecast

Post by mmr »

Just to let all the BG fans know about this, last night with about 10 minutes left in the game (at 10:10pm), Comcast Cable here in PHILADELPHIA, switched from the BG game to THE TIP OFF of a St. Joe's college basketball game. I was furious. No significance of the St. Joes game as it is the beginning of the season, where the BG game meant something! Nice decision there COMCAST. Why dont you play movies then with 10 minutes left in the movie, play something else!

I had to call a friend in NJ to report the plays for the rest of the game.

BG will get a bowl game. They are exciting to watch.

Sounds like the "Heidi" game... too bad our friends in Philly got shut out, even though the results weren't good.

What were they showing on ESPN last night at 10:10. I think it was Poker, right? They should have put the bball game on ESPN until the football game was over. At least FOX is smart. When the Yankees / Red Sox game went into extra innings they put the other game on a different network. ESPN should do that. Most everyone gets ESPN Classic or ESPNNews, when a game runs over they should put the start of the other game on a different network channel until the other game is finished.

It was one of the dumbest decisons COMCAST ever made (besides trying to buy disney). I couldnt beleive it when i saw Dick Vitale, ESPECIALLY with what was going on with the BGSU game. And as ESPN2 talked about ALLLLLLLL night how important that game was.

regardless that I am a fan.... anyone watching the game in Philadelphia (besides the 10 people who wanted to watch the first 10 minutes of St. Joes get whooped), it was another Heidi episode...

cable s*x

things like this are why I gave up on cable and got DirecTV. I get Philly locals, but my ESPN stayed on the BG game till the end. Though, in retrospect, losing the game feed might not have been that bad.

i didnt realize ESPN2 would do something like that for a local market... but you are right, it was a ESPN2 move. although my friend in NJ didnt have it switched.
