0-3 in big MAC road games is hardly time to panic. Especially given that one of those three was against that awesome Miami team last year. Those guys were a legit top-ten team, maybe better than that.

I'm gonna have to pull out the "sample size" card on this one.
And shouldn't a team with a 36-12 record have more to show for it then 1 division title?
I don't know...ask Northern Illinois.

I know everybody here is trying to get over the loss, and I know it was really a rough one, but I really don't think it's time to freak out yet.

By my estimation, in the Brandon era, BG has lost exactly two conference games it perhaps should have won. Personally, I think it's pretty reasonable to have expected them to split with NIU and Toledo this year. I don't think the fact that they lost both games means anything definitive. It's way too early to start talking about trends.

Now, if this keeps happening over a number of years, I could change my mind. But for now, the sky is not falling.
I'm not as cool as Tony Gaver, nor will I ever be.

Most of us figure in the Meyer years, too. You can do that math however you like. We're a good program that has failed so far to make itself great. UT is still the dominant program in our division.

Division I coaches make a lot of money --- some are up there in the millions. They are paid to nuture a football progam, and entertain the 10000s of thousands of people that provide the finanacial support to keep their programs viable. When they screw up (and I believe they really did Sat. night), the stock-holders have a right to complain. These guys are not on the same salary schedule as the faculty; they're paid much more. They know when they go into the profession that it will eventually be a do or die situation, and it's always a gamble. --- Nobody expects Brandon and company to die, but they are expected to be more alert as a coaching staff than they were Sat. night. "Fatstutz" as many of the you guys called him, earned his money Sat. Night. Coach Brandon and company did not. Hopefully that will change down the road.

I thought we played Toledo on a Tuesday night.

So last year when BGSU made the halftime adjustments and beat UT like the dogs they are in the second half, Brandon was the genius and Amstutz wasn't?

Were they hit by lightning or join the cast of "Freaky Friday"?

How did Tommy get so smart? When did Gregg take the stupid pills?
