GMAC Bowl Watching in BG

Post by BGSU Crazy Fan 58 »

For those of us in and around BG who were unable to make the trip down to Mobile, be it scheduling conflicts, money, or whatever, where is everyone planning on watching the game? Im gonna head to a sports bar in BG to watch the game. I was thinking Downtown Sports Bar on main street. They have tons of TV's, lots of room, and they'll turn the sound of the game way up. I think if a bunch of us AZZer's went in there and sang ay ziggy zoomba, and cheered along to the game we could make it an exciting, fun atmosphere. I'd rather watch the game with BG Football fans than just at my place. Let me know if anybody likes the idea....

I'm actually inviting a few friends over to my place because I just recently got a 42" LCD TV. If I had the HD package, this game would be frickin' awesome to watch, but it'll still look pretty cool.

I couldn't make the game due to teaching early on Monday morning so I'll definitely be watching from here in town.

My initial plans are to check out Fricker's. I really enjoy watching games there. The atmosphere is always great in that side room with the big screen. I'm going to see what some of my other friends are doing though so who knows where I'll end up.

We watched the '04 GMAC Bowl at Ziggy's, which had a decent crowd, though I don't remember too many details of that evening.

This will be the first bowl game since the '91 Cal Bowl that I haven't watched in BG or live at the game. I think I'm going to vow to not let that happen again.

If we can ever get Freak to come down from the clouds (and to put his beer down), he'll tell you exactly what you missed and how you need to be here. Moon pies and beads! This place is AWESOME!
