Positives...

Post by TG1996 »

Roger Williams deserves the one he broke. Both for the solid effort on that play in particular and his efforts during the season. Rhode Island rocks!

Corey Partridge should have something named after him in the Sebo Center. Here's to him having an injury-free and mega-productive senior season. The kid deserves that and more.

Even with "only" 1,500 tickets sold, the BG contingent looked impressive. And despite the result of the game, part of me is still horribly jealous that they were there for the weekend.

Glaud looked decent with what he was given to work with, too. Made some nice throws.

We went 8-5 and played in January.

'Nuff said.

Almost all of our starting players on defense are back...never mind that they still can't tackle and seem to be out of postion on every play.

Most of our skill position players are back on offense...never mind that they put up zero points on the worst defense in the country in thier last game.

Wow, this spin s**t is kinda cool!

Wow. What a bunch of retards there are on this site.

And, for once, I'm not talking about TG... :(

Positives? Our injury list stayed under 10 players, I had nachos for dinner that night in the comfort of my living room, I was able to get an early night's sleep, and at least we scored.

Positives:

*Good appearance by the BG faithful on TV last night.

*The defense started strong and got some stops but got winded quickly. I like how they swarm to the ball. A lot of improvement is needed, but it's a relatively young squad.

*Tulsa's attempt to take over the Gilcrease Museum was shot down*

*The Tulsa fans have been great and I'm glad their team performed so well.

*I made filet's last night with a wicked mustard pan reduction sauce, parmigiano reggiano mashed potatoes, and steamed broccoli. Washed it all down with a half bottle of Franciscan Cab.

Finally, I'm a BG and alumnus. That's a HUGE positive in my book.

*Not related to football, but good news none the less.

Yeah - where do you post that you're happy the team had the best overall record in the MAC, A youthful team got a lot of experience, and we actually made a bowl game this year.

That does not mean I'm happy about last night's game or that I don't think there is room for improvement. But the point is - we did improve over last year and I have high hopes we will continue to improve next year.

Let's shot for winning the MAC outright and getting revenge for the pounding we took last night to some hapless team in a Bowl game next year.

Meant BG fan. I was working to quickly this morning as I was running behind.

Positives from over here, in addition to what I said in my other post:

*Got to watch the game on a big(ish) screen in the Pub last night with my brother and some friends.

*Won a bronze "Clash in Cleveland" coin and the 03/04 Football Highlights DVD (again) in the trivia contest

*Got to watch BG in a bowl game

*The sun came up today and there is still a ton of orange and brown around this campus.

It may not have been the best day ever, but it was nowhere near the worst.
