are you so easily offended in everything in life, or just about sports? we sucked tonight, but if you look at how young this team is, this experience will only make it stronger and hungrier.

to say next year will suck is moronic. you've got a group of men now going through an entire offseason embarrassed and with a chip on their shoulder. i'd put money on them winning a MAC championship next year...

I am not sure that made any sense, but it is quite deplorable to get so upset over a football game. That's what I am calling pathetic.

Seriously, as I said in a different thread (Buffalo boy).....you need to shut up and not be so down on BG football. Yes, we lost. We lost very, very, very, badly. Did you think we'd be bowling back on Aug. 31st? I'm guessing no.
And, based on your last post you're not afraid to say s**t. Well..bring it dipshit. I'm not offended by any type of language, so come strong or don't come at all. Try and hurt my feelings...I dare you, fucker. And I assure you I'm not a "pathetic, depressed" person. I'm just a fucker from Philly, who loves BG. And, if you'd like to chat, my disposition is built for it ..you rocky mountain, John Denver loving a-hole.

Seeing as how I just got home from the Game (and yes, I stayed for the entire game) I see a couple positives just off the top of my head from this team. #1 we finished 8-5 while going Bowling. #2 We went bowling. Seriously guys, what would you expect against a team that has one of the best offenses in the nation? As far as our offense goes, I have no excuses other than we didn't execute. Don't blame the coaches, it wasn't their fault (in most cases), it was the simple fact that we just didn't make the plays that we needed to in order to stay in the game. Our defense obviously wasn't able to stop their amazing offense, and our offense just never got rolling. It's a tough loss yes, but think of it this way, our YOUNG team got the chance to practice for several more weeks, as well as play in a bowl game. Regardless of the loss, I think that the team will be eager to get into spring ball and get ready for a run to a MAC Championship and yet another bowl game. Just because we lost that bad to the smallest D-1A school shouldn't mean that you should just lose all hope for next year. Next year is several months away, and I am still proud and always will be proud to be a Falcon regardless of how the football team does.

*I apologize if my grammer and spelling is atrocious, but I did just have a 2 hour flight directly after the game with a bus ride back to BG, so don't rat me out on that.*

actually next year will likely be a repeat of this year, which is an improved out look vs where we were coming into this season.

Coach and team are just fine.

I can't stand looking at these boards after a loss. Everyone seems quick to jump on anyone they can and point fingers to every player or coach that had anything to do. Heck, maybe even the pilot landed too hard and the guys got shaken up too much before the game!

Honestly, before this season we all had our hopes. But who expected a team so young with an unproven quarterback to come out, win the division, and get to a bowl game? I'm sure every person wearing their orange and brown glasses did, but beyond that, reality says we showered some improvement overall.

Sure we just got our butts kicked in Mobile, sure we lost four games, but I personally feel like BG is back on the upswing. We beat Toledo, won the division, made a bowl game. How many of those things were accomplished the last two years?

We need improvements made all over this team, I will agree with that. However, I personally see no reason to bash anyone involved with the team. They had a great season, and while not being the best one, they did better than I honestly thought they would.

Used to have a lot of guys at the gym tell me how high they could high jump if they wanted to. Got 'em out on the track and it was a little different proposition. I suspect if you took a hit like your punt returner did you'd be calling for your mommie when you woke up without the ball. ;-)
I would have lost all control of bodily functions on national TV is I was hit like that.

I am just as embarrased as everyone else about this loss. But there is no way that I would say that next year is going to be a disaster based on a bowl game. What I am concerned with is the motivation that this current coaching staff is able to muster up before big games. That is what concerns me. I am not asking for the coach to be fired, he deserves to finish out his contract. But if I were the A.D., I would let him know that he is going to be looked at in all facets of coaching. Motivating players is one of them. In order to make more money, you need to produce a consistent winner. I wouldn't call the winning by this program consistent. He does have a winning record, and the team did have an 8-5 season with a bowl game, and there is no reason to fire him just for that. But I would say that this program has the opportunity to become a constant winner in the conference. It will take the right coach to get it done, and Coach Brandon has to produce at least an 8-4 record next year with a shot at a bowl game to warrant any talk of an extension or new contract.

Yep. That about sums up Sunday night for me.

Of course, the day a BG game can be summed up with "I wanna eat his children.", I'm running for the exits.

That's precisely why I would call FAIR CATCH, then catch it. Just like I said in October after Zach Charles dropped the two punts and we lost to Ohio, our players just can't seem to get it right.

Hate to correct your post here Metz, but we didn't win the division, Miami(Oh) did.

Hate to correct you again, but we split the division, even though they won the tiebreaker and went to the MACC.

Love the use of "(OH)", though.
