National Rankings- 1/7

Post by WhoDeyBG »

After the split with MiAudi, BG is just outside the Top 20 at #21, recieving 41 votes. CCHA still with 4 in the top ten with UM #1, MU #2, ND #6 an MSU #10. UNO and FSU also recieving votes.

As much as it is a tough place to play, BG has to get these two at the Soo this weekend. LSSU is still looking for their first CCHA win.

I'm amazed that by beating the number one team in the country we didn't jump well into the top 20! We were in the top twenty before without beating any top ranked team, but we beat THE top ranked team and nothing. Miami only slips one spot??? Something is wrong with the poll.

Well, we are 9-9 correct? Are there any sub-.500 teams in the rankings? If not then we probably don't deserve to be in. That being said though, our strength of schedule has been off the charts in recent weeks with games vs Michiganx2, Northeastern, Wisconsin, and Miamix2. We'll have a good chance to move up with victories against the CCHA bottom feeders coming up here.

Wisconsin is #17 with an 8-9-3 record. They just got swept at home by #4 Colorado College. As for teams right at .500, there's St. Cloud State at #14 (10-10-2), Michigan Tech at #18 (9-9-2) and Minnesota-Duluth at #19 (7-7-4). All of these teams are from the WCHA...

Agreed, we just have to get the job done. I'd hate to see us play our hearts out against the ForeSkinHawks and then lay an egg against Lake State.

I'm not. Everyone expects a team to have an off night now and again. so with the redskins coming back on Saturday and slaying us in return that I figure gets tossed in the accounting.
