Miami had 2 shots that could have been reviewed, one of which was probably in. The first one was behind Spratt and there was a very light ping noise, suggesting it hit some of the post, but also the net. The second one was probably not a goal, as it hit the corner of the crossbar and post.
This probably has little to do with the cameras and more to do with whether or not the officials felt it was reviewable.
This is just a guess, as I wasn't there and didn't see the actual plays you mention.

Can't believe Mercier hit the post on that empty netter with 5 or so seconds left. 6-2 looks a lot nicer on the score sheet than 5-2, and the voters will likely drop us to 3 or 4 this week behind Michigan, Denver and CC.
You're worried about an empty netter? Really? Just chill... Miami is still leading the nation in goals-per-game.
As for the rankings, you're probably right. Michigan and Denver were idle, while Colorado College pulled off an impressive sweep of Wisconsin in Madison, something the Tigers haven't done in ages. Miami rebounded for the 5-2 win, but dropped a 4-2 decision to an unranked BGSU team. So my guess is that Miami will drop a few spots and that BGSU might crack into the USCHO poll again. Don't forget, up until this past week the Falcons were ranked in USCHO's poll and if the voters consider that, Miami might not drop too far. It's not like the RedHawks lost to American International or anything. But a loss to an unranked team is probably weighed more heavily in the voters' minds than the score by which the #1 team beats that unranked team by the next night.
Anyhow, I'm glad you seemed to enjoy your trip to the BGSU Ice Arena. I'll be checking out your joint in February and I've heard it's beautiful. At least it will be better than Goggin
