The road to the Joe

When you look at it, the road to the Joe started with first CCHA matchup...sure its a dirt road full of wash outs and potholes, and the pavement is not even reached untill playoff starts. Yet in looking how our team is playing and has been playing and I can not help but think that this year, is the first year in a long time that I think we have a slight chance at making it to the Joe.
We are on pace to finish the season with around 35 points. which land us in 6th or possible 5th place in the CCHA. From there we potentially could have home ice for 2 playoff rounds but figure on just the first. We know our guys can play with and beat any CCHA team, and better yet they know it, we will just need to string 2 wins together each round which is likely the way they are playing.
Im not saying were a shoe in, because were not. these guys have come a LONG way...and lots of Folks see it..lots of "We have not seen BG play this well since the late 80's. Lots of: " I have not seen this kind of speed at BG since the 70's...BG has not had fore check like this in a long time, BG has not played this physical since...."youve all heard it.
I just think you can not rule out the idea that we have shot at making the Show at the Joe. Its a real good feeling to sit here see that our team is playing very well, and even with hardest part of the season upon us knowing that if they play like they have been they could just earn a trip to finals.

Yes, figure on just the first b/c when we win that series we'll go on the road to face the #3 or 4 team depending on where we finish. Teams 1-4 get first round byes while teams 5-8 host teams 9-12.
