Iglooing?
Iglooing?
After having an absolute blast down in Mobile hanging out with fellow AZZ'ers, I think we need to get a Iglooing (tailgating) party before a game this year. I think a Saturday would be the best day so we could get to the parking lot early enough. I was thinking the Alaska game on 2/9.
Who would be interested in having a nice pre-game get together with some grilling and drinks?

MACMAN
Bump.
I'm going ahead and still planning on having a small tailgate before the game. I've e-mailed the BGSUPD to see what kind of rules we'd have to follow, but it looks like a decent turnout thus far. Anyone who'd like to come, please feel free to do so. Anyone at any age is welcome.
P.S. The game thread will be up by tomorrow evening.

I've got some old/dear friends coming to town from C-bus & C-nati. Maybe I can convince them to join? Any idea what time the festivities should/will commence? Back to back road trips for the Freak?

Re: Iglooing?
Wish I could but I can't make it this weekend. Next hockey game I will be getting to is 3/1 vs the Egg Suckers. That is part of a triple header that day...two hoops games and hockey.SicSic80 wrote:+1 on the "blast"!!BGDrew wrote:After having an absolute blast down in Mobile hanging out with fellow AZZ'ers, I think we need to get a Iglooing (tailgating) party before a game this year. I should be able to get up there 2/16 for men's and women's hoops...not 100% sure but trying like heck.
I wish we could have hung out in Mobile for a week. LOL! THAT was a blast...

I'm planning on being there no later than 4. Right now it's just looking like burgers and dogs. BYOB and I'll provide the food.SicSic80 wrote:+1 on the "blast"!!BGDrew wrote:After having an absolute blast down in Mobile hanging out with fellow AZZ'ers, I think we need to get a Iglooing (tailgating) party before a game this year. Where are you going to be located? Inquiring minds want to know!BGDrew wrote:I'm planning on being there no later than 4. Right now it's just looking like burgers and dogs. BYOB and I'll provide the food.

"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

Well my main concerns are this:
1) "Open container": I don't want to blatantly break the law, but if they allow it for football why not hockey?
2) Darkness: It'll be dark by 6, so we'll be parked under one of the lot's lights.
