Did you even REALIZE that you'd lost a woman? There were a couple walking by my house that I didn't recognize- maybe one of them is yours- have you been out to Waterville lately? :-D

I gotta say the last 15 or so posts had me LOLing- you are all a resiliant bunch.

I wonder how many records Omar could have broken if he would have played the second halfs of about 6 over 30 point blowouts. Instead, we handed the ball off almost every down. It's what you do when the opposition is outmatched on that particular night. In baseball, someone would have been hit between the numbers if a team continues to steal and hit and run while up over 10 runs or so.

No one has talked about the Hurricanes blitzing linebackers the whole 4th quarter on defense when we were just running plays off tackle to run off the clock. Heck, the last play of the game Macon was caught for a loss when one of their linebackers was shooting thru the middle and then did some crazy dance. I guess when you are 107th in the nation in total defense you get real happy on a night like they had.

The score could have easily been 35-14 if BG hadn't self destructed. TU's defense had only two good games all year.....Houston and Bowling Green. They were manhandled by OU and Central Florida twice.

My wife would probably say "You have more woman than you can handle now, son" so if I lost one along the way I guess I won't get too worried about it :-)
It's not the fall that hurts...it's when you hit the ground.

Great post, Cowboy. They blitzed Glaud quite a bit when he took over for Sheehan. We obviously couldn't get going with Sheehan...he gets hurt and Glaud needs to come in and do something. Tough assignment.

Luckily for Tulsa, Coach Brandon had enough class NOT to do what should have been done - A nice modern day replica of Turkey Jones body slamming Terry Bradshaw on his head during a Browns/Steelers game many years ago. I have to admit that I was actually rooting Brandon to send in some 3rd string DE to ensure that Smith was a victim of this same scenario by the end of the game.

That is what happens to normally sane fans when an opposing team clearly runs up the score and shows no class. You can talk about records all you want, it does not change the fact that the actions were classless. I am sure that Coach Graham can justify it is his mind - but it simply does not make it right. There are ethics in coaching athletics that SHOULD superceed "records" or any individual accomplishments, regardless of the level of competition.
