The official release from BG says ten bucks, so I have no idea.

But the official BG release also said that the Falcons' win over Miami was the first over a #1 since 1993, when in fact they beat Michigan State in 1997-98 1-0 with a rookie goaltender (Shawn Timm) in net.

That was AT Munn. Maybe they meant first win against #1 in BG???

As far as goalie choice goes, I'm glad it's not my decision. I can argue it either way. Spratt getting both starts because of how well he played last weekend. Eno getting both starts because Spratt played 2 last weekend. Or the two of them splitting the weekend because Spratt's play on Saturday was well below that of Friday night. Either way, I don't think there is a wrong choice for this series.

Here's the exact text (because I'm a geek that way)
The Falcons earned their first-known victory over a No. 1 team since Nov. 6, 1993 when they doubled Miami, 4-2 on Friday. However, the Falcons, who beat No. 1 LSSU on that date in 1993, couldn't complete their first sweep of a No. 1 opponent since a home-and-home sweep of top-ranked Michigan in 1992, falling 5-2 on Saturday.

The goalie decision would be an easy one for me... but then I haven't seen nearly enough of either one to get a true read on them. Perhaps if I'd seen more it would be a more difficult decision.

I can confirm that that win AT MUNN was not in 93. It happened sometime while I was in college (bad snow storm, I stayed home and still feel the pain of missing that game).

Also, Shawn Timm was a freshman like my Junior year of college.

We will be a power again!

Go Falcons!

I can't believe you guys are going to make me look this up.
The date of the game was Dec. 7, 1997.

I know this isn't exactly the game recap, but this linky mentions the game I am thinking about.

Here.

Although for some reason, the university has redirected that site to the front page of bgsufalcons.com, which is a bit of a shame. They should have that information copied to the new site, if anything.

hey guys, I'm just a lurking LSSU fan here.

RE: the video feed. The fee has always been $6 a game through the LSSU website, and it hasn't gone up to my knowledge. If you are used to watching hockey on your 42' HDTV, you will obviously be sorely disappointed in the quality. But for an internet feed, it isn't too bad. It is actually quite a bit clearer than it was last year. Also this year, they have been showing some replays, and do a highlight reel when the game is over. It is just one main camera, with occasional highlights from the goal line camera. For the play by play, you'll probably get LSSU radio man Bill Crawford. He is great if you are a Laker fan, but he is a bit of a homer. Maybe if you sign up through the BG site, you'll get the BG radio feed, I honestly don't know.

The funny part is that they sometimes forget that they have a "hot mic" on the B2 network, even when they are on break from the radio feed. I've heard stuff like "which one of those slobs from Miami took that penalty as time expired."

Good luck with the rest of the season (starting Sunday). It is encouraging to see BG get back to respectablilty. It wasn't that long ago that BG and LSSU were the big boys in this league.

Thanks Jeff!! We appreciate you stopping by! We have a chat room that will be active during the game. If you aren't at the game and are watching via computer, feel free to stop in!! I'm just thrilled to have a chance to WATCH the game from BG!! I can't make the trip up there, so this is a very happy option for me!!!! :-D I've never been up to the Soo, but hope to someday...after the kids are gone...which is happening sooner rather than later!

GO FALCONS!!!
SWEEEEEEEEP THE LAKERS!!!!
"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

For the football game against Fuffalo, one of you techno wizards posted a link where we could watch the internet feed for free. Is anyone hanging around here capable of that? Chat room doesn't work on my computer so I am sittin' blind here!

Ha! Just remembered the little radio thingy.

This is the first year since I started watching hockey in '04 that I have seen our team consistently score in the third period. That is IMPROVEMENT. The team keeps on fighting! Roll along you BG warriors!
