Cleveland State takes down Butler
56-52 final over the #12 team in the country... Gary Waters has made quite the turn around at CSU this year. It will be interesting to see what they do down the stretch and in to the tournament.

It really will be. The Vikings have been getting a TON more press this year than I ever remember them getting, and quite frankly, I'm very happy for them. They had 5K+ at the Wolstein Center tonight. I hope that starts to become a regular number for them.
I just wish they would play more MAC team OOC. I am highly inclined to attened some CSU games simply because of my proximity to them. I would be even more inclined to do so if they were playing BG, OU, Kent or Akron. While we're at it, with the alumni bases of MAC schools in Cleveland, why the hell doesn't CSU schedule more MAC schools OOC?

I am in the CSU band, and had to miss last night's game, but heard that it was the loudest the wolstein center has ever been.
Last night was great because there was nothing else going on, and Waters has been on almost every station. It is amazing - 10 new players this year and Cedric Jackson is sweet.
Cleveland loves a winner, and there definitely is an affection for CSU stemming from that sweet 16 run so long ago. If Waters can keep the momentum going, it could make for a very interesting time in Cleveland. I always thought CSU was somewhat of a sleeping giant. It's a huge school in terms of # of students, and has a big potential fan base.
The new mascot looks like angry burger king to me, though.
