Roll Along You BG Warriors

Great Victory on Parents' Night as the Falcons beat defending MAC Champion Eastern Michigan University 191.950 - 191.575.

Breanne Guy (you just gotta' love a lady whose initials are BG) won the All Around competition with 38.375. Sophomore Megan Baltzer tied for 2nd (38.050). This is HUGE for the ladies as last year, we had no one that competed in all four events.

BREANNE GUY

Breanne Guy (9.750) and Jacque Bernhardt (9.725) led the Falcons on the vault. EMU had a great showing on the vault as they threw away a 9.500 with 5 of the top 7 scores (their low was 9.650).

On the bars, Freshman Michelle Luchini led the Falcons with a 9.775 and won the event.

A decent night on the beam. Breanne Guy led the squad with a 9.725 to place 2nd. Freshman Abby Ashley tied for 5th with a 9.650. EMU had 4 of the top 5 scores on beam.

On the floor, Meg Satterlee (9.775) and Queenie Gamble (9.700) placed 2nd and 3rd respectively for the Falcons. Nice showing by Abby Ashley (9.625 -tie for 5th) and Jacque Bernhardt (9.500). Jacque is all taped up from an injury she suffered back in December at the intrasquad meet but had a really nice routine this evening.

Saw Kasey Fillmore walking around during the warm-ups. You could tell she was not having fun (she broke her forearm in warm-ups last week). I felt bad for her, but look forward to seeing her compete next year.

Great crowd once again. Of course, it was Parents' Night so we had many of the parents on hand, but also saw some members of the football team. Also saw Sean O'Drobinaks' mother.

The ladies hit the road for the next few weeks and return home on Saturday, February 16 and face the always tough Central Michigan Chippewas at 7:00 PM in the Eppler Center Gymnasium.
