Idle wondering...
...just thinking, after failing to find a single soul wanting to go see BG v. Akron tonight...Why the #*@&! did the MAC schedule games to go head to head with NFL playoff games??? Huh? Anybody out there with the faintest damned idea?

Absolutely batshit retarded. Let's schedule games not only on a Sunday night at 7:00 (which is odd enough) let's do it on the 2nd biggest football night of the year.
STUPID STUPID STUPID.
I probably would've went if it were an early afternoon game, but the combination of getting home really late on a Sunday and missing NFL playoff games? No thanks.

Hey, if it decreases their home court advantage and helps us end that long home winning streak they have, I'm all for it. GO FALCONS !!!!hammb wrote:True dat. They'll all be at the bar watching the NFL playoffs!Warthog wrote:I think the 7:00 start is due to it being MLK day tomorrow. The students probably have the day off so this is like a Saturday night game to them.

who friggin cares. Let's be real. NFL conference championship games or a random BG v. Akron game? gimme a break. I love BG , but let's be real. I always have to laugh when people question the scheduling of our games. It is what it is. We're not world beaters, nor will we ever be (hopefully I'm wrong), but let's understand that 99.9% of the country would rather watch NFL vs. a MAC b-ball game.
That's the entire POINT!San Fran Falcon wrote:who friggin cares. Let's be real. NFL conference championship games or a random BG v. Akron game? gimme a break. I love BG , but let's be real. Why would they schedule a game on a Sunday (which is bad enough) at night (which is worse) during the NFL playoffs (which is worst of all)!?
Nobody is complaining why people would rather watch football than a BG/Akron game...we're complaining why the idiots in scheduling would make us make that choice in the first place.
Personally, I'm actually happy about it now. Had the game been an early afternoon affair I probably would've been there, and would've had a long pissed off ride home.
