For those of you that say he was blown off the ball, also realize that in pass blocking you do not drive the defender. You are supposed to give ground. The tackles don't look as bad as the interior linemen because they just run the DE around the end and behind the QB, where as the interior linemen just have to give ground and keep the defensive lineman in front of them.
I didn't watch to see a second set of plays with Kory, I'll have to check it out some other time.
I will say that the dude from Maryland can be an absolute BEAST when he wants to be. That's a kid that everyone says has first round talent, but just doesn't always seem to give it his all. Looked like he was giving it his all against Kory, and you saw what could happen...given his MO Kory could have just as easily pancaked him 3 straight plays tomorrow.
I'm no OL coach, by any means, so I'll defer to you on the pass blocking thing. I just know as a fan if my Center got driven that far backwards it would usually be a bad thing, because that's where the QB should be. If he were giving ground, wouldn't he want to give the ground but force him wider so the QB could step up in the pocket? Honestly OL/DL battle is the most important aspect in football, but it's not something I'm real familiar with the technique/fundamental/mechanics of it all.
