Bring Out the Toolbox

3-1 loss. We were in the box just about every other shift was a penalty.
Dave Ellett is a hero. A Bowling Green Falcon and a Former Jet and Maple Leaf. What more can a Winnipegger ask for.

Although getting swept is not the desired result most BG fans realize that this is a process and we are not at the level yet to compete game in and game out against decent competition on the road.

Overall, I liked what I saw. There was some puck control issues, but the intensity was there.

I hate to say it, but ND reminded me a LOT of a Jerry York coached BG team. Extremely disciplined, nailed assignments, and worked methodically.

This is a young team, but the underclassmen are going to be something special.

Any idea what game Lisko was watching? Two players getting 10-minute misconducts within 15 seconds says a lot about how the players felt the game was being called.

I think it says more about the lack of composure the boys played with late in the game tonight. The coaches and captain didn't seem to have a problem with the misconducts.

The lack of composure came from the total inconsistency in the calls. McIlrath got called for boarding 14 seconds into the third period. There were at least three worse hits after that. None of them got called. Our guys shy away from almost every check along the boards. Someone finally doesn't and gets called for boarding. The physical aspect or our forecheck is gone. Why is that?

Kantola and Nesdill were scratched Saturday - anyone know why?

Sinkewich didn't get to play this weekend. I know he's frustrated both for that and for not knowing what he needs to do to get in the games. Hell of a waste of a big body.
