He (or any player) five years of eligibility starts when he is on the team. For this person it starts on January 2009 as does his scholarship.Bleeding Orange wrote:
Does a greyshirt count towards a player's five years of eligibility, or does it's unofficial nature make it kind of like not existing in the NCAA's eyes?

I was at that game in Huron also. I was very impressed.falconfan1999 wrote:I've seen this kid kick against Huron and he can really boom them! He's a great kicker and will be kicking after Sinisa Vrvilo leaves, but I'm not in a rush to see him go. Sinisa has done a great job!

Yes he has!! Sinisa is DA MAN!! But it's great to know we have a high quality kicker waiting in the wings when Vrvilo moves on. I was hoping Matt Rinehart of Dover would end up at BG but he's decided to walk on at Kent State.falconfan1999 wrote:I've seen this kid kick against Huron and he can really boom them! Which to me, implies that he was referring to when he will be starting school, just to clarifyfreefalcon wrote:For this person it starts on January 2009 as does his scholarship
On another note, just browsing through all of these topics about recruits and who we may be getting for next year is really getting me psyched for the spring game!! I think I may have to go home and play some NCAA '08 later to help calm me down.

OK, I've given this some thought. I'm going to change my last name to Kicker and name my first son Clyde. I will teach him to kick everything in sight, beginning with whatever crap I decide to throw into his crib. I may have to give him up for adoption if he develops an interest in soccer, though. I haven't figured that part out yet...
No matter. This plan sounds both foolproof and awesome to me. 8)

Sounds like my plan to tie my sons right hand behind his back and make him learn to throw left handed curveballs!Bleeding Orange wrote:OK, I've given this some thought. "Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

Hey, if you're husband can procreate without creating gremlins, then I figure I'll be just fine.Falcon Fanatic wrote:+1TG1996 wrote:Except for the part about you procreating...Bleeding Orange wrote:No matter. This plan sounds both foolproof and awesome to me. 8)
