Teams occassionally lose their luster or sense of dominance when one team beats them, and all of a sudden an 800lb gorilla is now just a 100lb Chimp.

Experience makes everyone better, this team knows how to win, they now are facing some adversity which will make them better!

Houston Falcon is dead on. While I knew we weren't going to win 30 games again this season, I also knew there would be ups and downs with such a young team.

BUT, despite the 3 game slide, BG is still FIFTEEN and six, 4-3 MAC, with half the season to go! Sheese. Don't jump off the top of Jerome Library just yet!

This team will still win 20+ games this year and contend for a FOURTH straight MAC title.

This is NOT the time to push the panic button or jump off the wagon. More than ever, the team needs the support. They WILL be back...starting Sat at TSUN.

BEAT TOLEDO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Jerome Library? Pssh. Offenhauer West makes for a much more scenic free fall.

After listening to Coach Miller's comments after the BSU and Western games, he might disagree with you

The best Freshman class in MAC history "only" went 11-5 in the MAC, and they had 2 outstanding seniors to help out as opposed to one hurt outstanding senior.

If this team gets anywhere near that mark and can compete in the championship game as the '03 team did, I think we should all be very happy and excited for the rest of their careers.

Now is not the time to panic. One thing to keep in mind in all this relates to the freshman. All of them were virtually done with their HS seasons a year ago by this time and the freshman are finding out what its like to play extra 4-6 weeks of basketball compared to HS. Their bodies are probably going to have to adjust. The other side is mental. This was bound to happen at some point during this tough Mac season. Yes, Ball St. is better than us not more talented but better and more experienced at this point , WMU and Miami are probably too as well but they can all be had later on this season.

The game. The refs stunk yeah, especially the bald guy. I remember looking at him before the game started and not thinking good vibes then about the upcoming officiating. I distinctly remember Golds going after a rebound and getting grabbed by the neck and pulled down John Cena'esque style to the hardwood and the foul was called on Golds. There always seemed to be some asinine call to halt whatever run we were attempting to make at the time. But the besides the refs we also didn't shoot very at all inside the paint and didn't capitalize on most of WMU 27 TO's. 7-21 down low won't get it done. I couldn't help but think to myself what a beast Breske will end up being once she actually gets into major game shape. She has missed huge portions of her Jr. and Sr. years of HS to injuries. Albert has a ways to go for sure at the C spot to be a real force to go with her 6'2 frame and I've wondered why Bugher hasn't seen much time when Tara gets into foul trouble. All the miscues in last nights and previous nights games are correctable , we have 7 freshman. So before anyone decides to jump off Jerome Library or wherever else , just remember all of this will pass the 3 time COY Miller and the rest of the coaches will get it figured out.

The freshman are learning just how hard the rest of the Mac is coming at them for what the previous class did over the past 3 years. They came here knowing full well the expectations. It'll just take a while for them to learn how to bring it every night vs competition that hates you with a white hot hate. This class still has a chance to blow out of the water what the previous class did during their freshman years. Oddly like the men's team, this season will require tons and tons of patience. Not easy I know but we must try. We still have loads of time and games left to win the Mac title , it will all work itself out.
