Marc Stevens OG 6-5 280 Lexington, OH
Keith Morgan ATH 6-1 195 Bellefontaine, OH
Tim German OT 6-4 286 Newark, OH
DeMark Jenkins WR 6-3 190 Gary, IN
Winston Etheridge III DT, 6'3", 254lbs. Cleveland, Oh
Lane Robilotto CB 6-0 175 Plainsville, OH
Norman Young CB 5-11 165 Trotwood, OH
Aaron Pankratz QB Macedonia, OH
Jerry Phillips K 6-2 200 Green Springs, OH (Gray Shirt offer - will count toward 2009 class)

BG is still waiting to hear from Blaine Schafer. I think the total scholarships for this class is 14. We did offer Brandon Kluener OG 6-3 275 Cincinnati, OH but pulled it do to some problem. He committed to Tennessee Tech
Ten out of eleven from the great state of Ohio. Wondering what happened to our Florida/Georgia/rest of southern states pipeline? Not complaining, just curious.
SicSic,
You might recall that LAST year, we hardly touched the State of Ohio, nor did quite a few of the other MAC schools...after OSU took the "Cream", not a heck of a lot was left...but word was then that THIS year would be a good recruiting year for Ohio...and if you hook onto the recruiting sites, you'll see that EMU and Ball St. in particular, among out of state schools, have come into Ohio HARD this year.
Thanks Class.......makes good sense.....and now, for the time being.....my curiousity is at rest. :D

BTW, your lists didn't include the JC transfers already in school...one OL, and a DB if I remember correctly. Wonder how the visit with the Cal. JC QB went last weekend...anyone hear?

In response to the Calif QB - He's meeting with the HC as we speak! Things went very well last weekend. He was very impressed with your facilities, coaches, and boosters.
Head Coach Brannan was suppose to meet with his family last night, but his plane was late getting into SF.
This is a real quality kid with a big arm. He is a California Farm Boy with great work ethic and a solid head on his shoulders. He has always reminded me of "a good ole boy" from the midwest. You'll love him if he decides to go in your direction. If he feels that he will be given a "chance" to compete for a spot, "I Think" you'll see him on June 1st.

Look for an annoucement by this evening!

That list of recruits looks mighty impressive! But what about Georgia playmaker Marquese Quiles? Didn't I see a link somewhere that this North Gwinnett High CB commited to the Falcons?

This was in print somewhere in Atlanta I am sure. Quiles is a big play kid from Georgia's state champ team at their level. I believe he blocked six kicks- this season alone!

All people good at research/linking this can find that article. Or maybe it is already posted and I missed it as I often do.

Re the list, I have watched ATH Keith Morgan/Bellefontaine HS in person several times. This young man makes things happen too.

Go Falcons!

Maybe Sheehan is moving to def end? :?

Just kidding.

Might be that Brandon isn't that impressed with Nate Brown and wants to ensure we have a quality back-up, be it the JC guy or Sheehan if the JC guy beats him out. Kind of like Jason Washington coming in a few years ago.

One thing about GB I'll say is this , he sure has a habit of making sure he has an insurance policy regarding Qb's. Whats the name of this JC Cali QB again?

Here are the commits to Bowling Green so far....

Blaec Walker OT 6-5 319 Middletown, OH OT
Chip Robinson OG 6-5 351 Middletown, OH
Marc Stevens OG 6-5 280 Lexington, OH

Norman Young CB 5-11 165 Trotwood, OH
Aaron Pankratz QB Macedonia, OH
Marquese Quiles CB 5-11 159 Suwanee, GA
Tony Stover FS/WR Canal Fulton Northwest
Jerry Phillips K 6-2 200 Green Springs, OH (Gray Shirt offer - will count
toward 2009 class)

If Blaine comes to BG (IMO he will not) that would be 13 scholarships used out of 14.

I did not count any JC (one DB / OL and maybe the Calf. QB). Do they count toward the number of scholarship for this Class of 2008? If they do...well I am guessing we would need 15 scholarships not counting Blaine.

Tony Stover is All Ohio Defensive players of the year. He would be the 4th All-Ohio member to commit to BG. Chip Robinson, Marc Stevens and Tim German are the other All-Ohio members.

Tony played RB / DB at Canal Fulton

This class is looking stellar! I saw Stover play against my alma mater, Dover. He is a GREAT player.

We are reloading....Signing Day is one week away.

Too bad we don't play the Cards very much (if at all) anymore. Our only chance to show him who he should have chose may be in the M.A.C. championship game for the next four years!!! :-D
Yeah right girl!
