Great win! I was sitting in the BSU season ticket section (I assume this is where I was since everyone around me was at least 50 and wearing a BSU sweater) behind the Cards bench. I looked big sexy in my BGSU shirt and hat but those around me were nothing but polite and friendly. The BSU faithful is getting pretty tired of losing but I was thrilled.
My BSU friend and I were both horribly disappointed that the half time show was a bunch of frat boys stomping instead of the high energy dance moves of the celebrated Code Red Dancers.
I'm now 2-0 having seen the Cincinnati game way back when.
At 5'9", that Melvin Goins for BSU is a fun player to watch.
Go BG!
BG leads Ball State at the half!

Well, these are the types of games that you have to win to be a successful team in this conference. Every win is nice, but honestly, I'm not that impressed. Look at the team we beat, they were 3-15 coming in, now 3-16. Pardon me if I don't exactly feel thrilled about beating a team as pathetic as Ball State.
Now if we roll into Kalamazoo and take down WMU this weekend, THAT would be extremely impressive. I might have to consider us a contender for the conference title if we pull that off.
Remember people, we were 4 point underdogs against that "pathetic" team called Ball State.

Robby... if you were the "big guy" about 12 rows behind the BSU bench, then can I say that, aside from players families, I think I "knew" every BG fan in the place last night?
Other amusing thoughts that came to me later... for pregame introductions, they do the visitors starting 5 (and yes, I'm taking credit for the starting freshman point guard from Rossford, even if he was a traitorous bastard in HS.
) then they go into a pre-recorded "This is the new Ball State basketball...." Where the starters, or just a random group of guys introduce themselves by name and number, but they don't run out to that or anything, it's just kind of there. It might work with a video board, but there isn't one. So they get done with that, and THEN do the standard PA announcer going through their starting five. So, so random.
Also, they welcomed us to "this MAC West contest..." So does that mean we're 2-0 in the division??
