Updates on a couple of kids who left...

Alonso Rojas took a year off from football at a community college in Florida, but he hit the camp circuit hard enough to earn a schollie from Kansas. He also had offers form UNLV and Colorado.

Nick Lawrence is going to play at Grand Valley State up in Michigan

Article says Rojas left BG because he was homesick. Hadn't heard that before. I thought Brandon just gave him the boot. Interesting though that he ends up at a program that finished in the top ten last year.

But he took a year off from football and was in Florida. Maybe he's ready to give being away from home another shot. I see nothing wrong with it...best of luck to him!

I forgot to say it earlier, but good luck to Alonso.

On the homesick thing, I don't know what to say. All I know is he left here without much being said. Sure, Northwest OH winters can make you homesick for FLA. But he left before winter was even here. For my two cents, I would say Brandon told him to leave, and he is using "homesick" to cover up the fact Brandon basically ran him off. So Rojas is using "homesick" to keep from looking like he was bashing his old coach.

Of course, I just like to try to make Brandon look bad, so you can disregard anything I say.

Yea I suspect he was taking the high road and not speaking bad about others....doesn't that sound refreshing....

There's a funny smell to all this. Either Rojas is full of crap and him being homesick wasn't the real reason for him leaving, or its true and he's a wuss. At the very least he made a bad college choice and tucked his tail between his legs and ran like a sissy girl.

Hmmm. Homesick…..Kansas……maybe he clicked his heels and said to himself, "there's no place like home" over and over again.
