Gee, Montoya only has 11 points.
"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

As awesome as this is, I have a problem with it. Jordan gets a star every game. we win 5-4 and he'll get 2nd star if not first. And thats wrong. I don't know who chooses tehm, but I think there is some bias there. He deserves it a lot of the tiem don't get me wrong. But every game we win he's the 1st star.

I don't see any of the games so I can't comment first hand about seeing Jordan play BUT I do listen to all of the games. I have heard the announcers (both ours and opposing announcers) say that Jordan is keeping us in the game. He has made some fantastic saves keeping the other teams score down so we can score goals and win by 1 or 2 goals. Perhaps this is why he is getting 1st or 2nd star every game.

The players of the game are voted on by all the media in attendance. There is no politcal BS going on....if they think he won the game for us then so be it.

It seems to me that last Saturday's game against Wayne State should be a testament to Siggy's importance to the team. When he's off it's not a pretty sight and not much fun, either.

I agree with you guys 100%. Siggy is damn good. One of the best in the nation clearly. But he wins stars with 5-4 wins, and thats shouldnt happen. He keeps us in countless games, and Im not goign to complain if he runs away with these, he probably does deserve to wint hat award, but sometimes it just seems like they give it to him when they rather than looking at a defenseman that made a goal saving play late in the 3rd.

I understand where you're coming from....however it's the shots on goal differential that's causing it. If we weren't constantly allowing more shots then we're taking, then, I believe, that the selections would be different. In a situation such as that, it's the goalie that makes the difference in the game.
