"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

Cheer loud 4 me staying in BG 4 both bball games 2 houses on the market no $$$$ made that trip many times including my brother-in-laws' retirement from Offit Air Force Base. Go to the zoo, Old Market & eat a steak playing away from the Quest Center could be a good thing. Go 4 some points & be safe.
They do see us as rivals & it can get ugly

Um, yeah. I've heard. It's take two sides to make a rivalry. They are attempting to manufacture something that I just don't see. The fans have been trying to do this with every team in the conference, it seems. The standard response is, "why aren't they in the WCHA?"BGFalconfromCincy wrote:but some out there in Nebraska do see us at rivalsRightupinthere wrote:I honestly don't see the hate, FF. I view them akin to CMU. I want BG to beat them, but I don't consider them "rivals." I consider MiAudi and Toiletto rivals. In the CCHA, MSU, OSU, and Uo'M rivals.

It's always something with UNO. This year, we're scheduled the same weekend as the state wrestling tournament, so their landlord moves them down the street. Couldn't UNO have gone on the road this weekend?
Assuming they get home ice for the first round of the CCHA's, they will play their opponent on Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday instead of Fri-Sun, due to a hillbilly concert at Qwest on Friday. BG had better get some wins so we don't have to go there for that.

I know this comes up every year, but why does UNO so very rarely travel to BG? It seems to me like every year we are travelling to Omaha, and that has to be one crappy trip. Has anyone ever heard an explanation of why we go out there so much?

It is not my intention to do away with government. It is rather to make it work - work with us, not over us; stand by our side, not ride on our back. Government can and must provide opportunity, not smother it; foster productivity, not stifle it. ~Ronald Reagan

Thats probably true, but in my three years of going to games as a student (and my memory may be failing me here, too), I don't recall seeing UNO in the IA. I do remember UNO fans thinking that Sharpies were the cleverest thing ever during that time, though.MACMAN wrote:your just remembering we went their last march and forgetting they came here early in that season...it rotates ever year.Bleeding Orange wrote:I know this comes up every year, but why does UNO so very rarely travel to BG? In checking past media guides we have travelled to UNO same number of times they've come to BG
@UNO 07-08, 04-05, 03-04, 99-00, 98-99
@ BG 06-07, 05-06, 02-03, 01-02, 00-01
We just seem to end up playing them in Omaha for post season when we get there I'm with bgbill that schedule would be brutal & expensive
GO!!!!!!!!!BG!!!!!!!!!!! just beat the mavs!!!!! BG ____ BG __
