New verbal!!!

Post by factman »

I hear from VERY reliable sources that we have a new verbal for 2009 :!:
A 6' General will be at BG for your viewing pleasure. Leading scorer and rebounder in the NLL this year as a junior. GREAT GET!! :D :-D

I don't know for sure...but I'd have to guess Allison Papenfuss. I think she averages 21.3 points and 14 rebs or something like that per game.

Here is an article on Allison from the Blade earlier this season.
She is going to be a great fit at BG. She is an absolute leader on the floor.

She scored 30 points and grabbed 17 rebounds against Bowsher in a recent contest with Bowling Green coach Curt Miller viewing from the front row.

:-D

I saw her play a couple of weeks ago, and Coach Lindsay from Kent was at that game. I think she will be a great addition to our program, as she is a little bigger and stronger than most of our current players, with alot of skill, and a great work ethic.

21 and 14 average is pretty good no matter what the competition. Even thoguh NLL girls basketball is nowhere near the level of the Toledo City League or others around the state , she still looks like she'll be quite an addition to our program.

Allison is a great get. Remember Miller & company find the coal & polish it into diamonds. They just keep recruting quality people. Toledo City league has a bigger population to choose from than the NLL. IMO she can hang with any of them. She helped beat Bowsher. That's Toledo City league---my nephews played fb & ran track there.

Now that's domination...especially when her team only scored 43 for the game!

The NLL coaches must feel like the old NBA coaches did when trying to stop Wilt Chamberlain.
