We just seem to end up playing them in Omaha for post season when we get there I'm with bgbill that schedule would be brutal & expensive
GO!!!!!!!!!BG!!!!!!!!!!! just beat the mavs!!!!! BG ____ BG __
You must be mis-reading something...I just went through the press guide:

This is UNO's 9th season in the CCHA, during those seasons:
UNO's has made 3 trips here (01/02, 05/06 and 06/07) BG's traveled there 7 times (99/00, 00/01, 02/03, 03/04, 04/05, 06/07, and 07/08.
This does not even count the 98/99 trip to Omaha before they joined the conference, and of course does not count tournament

Regarding the so called "rivalry," Doug Schueller was one of the two players (Scott Hewson was the other) who started the whole thing! Doug did "raise the roof" hand motions that got them so riled up after we beat them in the first game we ever played (1/2/99, the year before they joined the league). This was also after a major scrum brought on by a B!G check (on their top guy) by Hewson, I believe. Am I remembering this correctly??? Apparently we were't supposed to "disrespect them in their house....." whatever

TIME TO SWEEEEEEP DUH MAVS!!!!!!!!
GO FALCONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

FF, that's pretty much it, as far as on ice stuff. Add to that Buddy's Boston humor not going over too well during the Friday pregame luncheons.
For those of you going to Omaha for the first time, a game there is not like any other college game experience.
Be sure to visit the Old Market area.

Have fun and safe travels to those making the trip to Omaha. I haven't been there yet for a weekend series, but it's on my list.

This weekend, myself and 5 other friends are making the trek to Big Rapids to see Miami take on Ferris State. I guess we've started a tradition, one that I really like and now look forward to.

Last year we went to South Bend. We were supposed to go to East Lansing this year, but when the Spartans changed up the hockey game times to accomodate a home football game, we canceled. Maybe next year. I believe we have the luck of having the Spartans and the Wolverines in our cluster next year.

This is a huge series for the Falcons. Not that every weekend isn't important, but like the Notre Dame series, you play a team similar in the standings once again. The BG-UNO series is the best this weekend no doubt. The rest of the matchups are rich vs poor.

No self respecting Falcon fan would let something as minor as bronchitis keep him away from this series when it's being played right in your backyard. What is it, about 3hr drive from Topeka to Omaha.

Tough it out! Here's my Rx.....

6oz Grapefruit juice
6oz Vicks DayCare
3oz Robetusin
6oz Vodka
2-10oz cans RedBull
1 whole raw egg

Mix everything well, and pour into a One Liter bottle...it won't all fit.
The 8-9 ounces left over are your initial dose, chug straight down.
Take 4oz every hour, the bottle should last about 8 hours. That should give you enough time to drive to Omaha and see the Falcons maul the Mavs...you're on your own after that.

I'm 53 years old, most of the organs are pretty well shot anyway :(

I sincerely hope nobody actually thinks I was seriously suggesting that anybody ought to actually drink this! The only people dumb enough to drink an elixer like this would be Brittney Spears and Bigdog.
