I'll be the old guy in the band. Hopefully one of many. Not Alan Greenspan old. More like TG1996 old.
Hittin' the road from Dayton in T-60.

I've been battling a cold, but if I feel well enough this afternoon, I should be there.

Supporting the hockey team is great and all but when we got 2 home basketball games with both of them being huge , the women playing a fellow 7-3 top Mac team and the men playing for revenge and for Mac Tourney position vs Akron. I just would'a thought that the home mens/womens bb double header would've taken precedence over a hockey road game (a long road trip at that) for most fans in this situation. Just my opinion. I hope we get a great crowds for both games.
Ok as I sit here eating breakfast in OMAHA, sitting beside Kaleena and Steven, this trip was planned before we knew this weekend would be so big for basketball. Hell we planned this trip before the basketball schedule was released. You make it sound like we packed up two buses and brought people out here, there is four of us

And I can vouch that they were in Ypsi on Wednesday... so they get a pass. :-) Enjoy your roadie!

ok now...
Kaleena and I are both sitting here at breakfast in OMAHA we find your post a some what slap in the face.
1. This trip has been planned for many months now.
2. Were you going to reimburse us for our hotel that was booked and nonrefundable.
3. This is just an important game for hockey as for basketball.

We are at every home game, we have gone to away basketball games we support ALL teams at home and the road. I don't see you going to away games for anything.

In fact I don't even see you at home hockey games so do you know even know how big this weekend is for them?

How were we suppose to know when we booked this trip that this weekend was going to be Big for all 3 teams. Yes it is sad that we had to miss the basketball games but I think making this trip is imporant too.

There are only FOUR of us on this trip not 100, not a bus load. I don't think the Anderson will shut down without us.

and we never had to show up at halftime to watch our falcons to play unlike some people.

have a great day

Wow. Do you want people to dislike you? With comments like that it almost sounds like you're in fear of standing there on the sidelines alone. Keep saying things like that and I wouldn't blame everyone who stands around you for making that come true.

I really hope I never see you (the same person who until this basketball season has missed half of almost all home sporting events you are claiming others SHOULD be at) call out others for attending another BG athletic event. I think it's great they went to Omaha! I'd love to see you stand up to the hockey team and tell them why their away game in Omaha is worthless compared to two home basketball games.

Give the people who actually go to school here the freedom to do what they want.

I just got this message on Facebook...

Hey All!
Just a reminder that the men's game starts at 2 today. We've been told that Akron is planning on bringing a large number of fans (told in excess of 500 die-hard fans) to make Anderson "their house."

It continued on but did anyone else hear about this? Hopefully we get enough to the men's game to be louder if it's true!

One thing's for sure, I was talking with Falconboy in the chat last night during the BG-Omaha game, and he doesn't know jack about how the CCHA runs their playoff bracket. But I'll leave the particulars behind closed doors. That second point there about showing up at halftime though, that's incriminating evidence right there. It seems falconboy might not view hockey with the same importance as football or basketball. I can understand if you just dislike the sport entirely, but in all seriousness, our hockey players need our support just like our other athletic teams. The final 5 games of the hockey season are critical in determining whether we will be at home for the playoffs round 1. If you're a true falcon fan, you'll get your carcass down to the IA for next week's games against Ferris and the season finale against Michigan State.

And before Cincy attempts to nab me for never going to the IA, I usually sit on the other side of the arena from the student section, in section D. It's a better view without having to constantly stand.

FMBfan , Kaleena. Hey, really don't care what people choose to do, what games to go to or whatever. I really don't. I was just makin an observation , nothing personal. Sorry I brought it up. I didn't know that plans were made months ago or whatever for that trip. I didn't realize that Nebraska-Omaha was that big of a hockey opponent to travel 500 some miles to go to. I think its great that people are willing to go on the road to support the teams on the road when they're able. Its great for the players i'm sure. So forgive me, just when i found out you four where going to Nebraska for road hockey this weekend with a mens/womens BB home double header, I found it a tad odd. I just wanna to see as many fans in Anderson as possible today.

Ok, you're gonna have to give that up cuz it just makes no sense anymore. A couple of years ago I did go to a lot of mens games at halftime, cuz thats all I could stomach. But women's , I've been to every game from the start for 4 years now and have season tix to both this year. So give it up.

I couldn't resist!! :-D
Somethings have to repeated over and over for it to sink into some peoples heads. I'm think about another two years and maybe.....................

Is it ok if I miss the women's game tonight? It will be my first home miss this year, but I happen to have something more pressing tonight! Someone else WILL be using my tickets...........a possible "new" fan to BG women's basketball. Is it ok?
