As always, anyone who reads this is welcome to stop by as well. I'd love to see this turn into a huge event. We were talking to Mr. Cepis' dad last week and he told us that Grand Rapids used to have hundreds of people tailgating for their games. How cool would it be to have that kind of environment for our games?

If I don't feel too awkward (because believe me if I were walking up to a crowd of people I would feel very, very awkward) I may stop by around 4 and go into the ice arena at 5:20ish because I'm crazy like that. Either that or my friends and I usually go to the Dial before the games (it's warm in there). I hope you have fun!

Don't be shy, we won't bite. A cold beer (assuming you're 21) and food will be waiting for you. You can ask Freak, Niz, Falcon Fanatic, Major Falcon; I only look shady!

So do you want to fry a bird for the game, Niz? I'd be happy to kick in for the cost.

Yes that would be me. :) Also "BG" waiting 4 "SU". Thanks 2 everyone responding. :D It's a team effort on ice or court & in the stands. I will be taking it 2 Miami on Saturday. So I'll miss the tailgate but know you still have a crowd. Thanks to all for starting a new tradition to be continued next season or wait there's March 1 but it's busy. Or during home ice.

I think I do want to toss one in. I'm definately doing it for the MSU game. Should I get a turkey or a chicken? Or, what could be easier is grabbing a few packages of legs and thighs, battering them up and then just deep frying those. Don't worry about pitching in, you gave me planty of food last time.

Very cool. That means I met you on the court after the women's b-ball game saturday and I didn't even know it! I remember asking you about why we didn't have a doubleheader on saturday and you told me about the conflicting season tickets for men's and women's games. :P

But anyway, back to the topic, I figure to come on over for the iglooing before Saturday's game as long as the weather isn't too brutal. This is a B!G series against Ferris as 6th place, possibly 5th place will be on the line, and even one point this weekend will clinch a first round home series (I don't know why the main site says we've clinched unless we have a tiebreaker of some kind over Alaska.)

I can't figure it out either, even trying to go through the CCHA tiebreaker, it looks like it comes down to record against other CCHA teams, starting with first place... we've each taken one from Miami(OH), but they tied ND once, and we have yet to play MSU.

The CCHA agrees, however.

EDIT:
It's conference wins. We have 12, they have 8 with 2 games left. Don't know why I overlooked that going down the tiebreakers.

GO BG!!!!

I'm cool with making whatever. I've got hamburger and sausages already. I'd say whatever you're comfortable with spending/making would be the best bet.

I saw about the wings over in the food forum, if you wanted to chip in on something, wings and drummies would be pretty easy to toss in the old fryer, and I suppose I could stop by b-dubs and pick up a sauce or two.

Sounds good. I might bring some of the sauces we make at Junction to try out. We got a good garlic parm, hot, and asian sauce that my friend came up with.

Junction's wings are good. I just know b-dubs will sell them out right. I kind of hate b dubs with all my heart and soul though.

Now I just have to find a sub for band. sheesh.
