I'm just waiting for the "Damn it's good to be back in Assembly Hall! You all don't know how nice it is to play on a suitably cushioned floor again" quote.bgmaggot00 wrote:Grant. I love the illustrations here. Classic.

By then it will probably be at the new convo center. But just imagine playing IU with 5,000 BG fans, with signs to the extent of "how's the crowd now Dan?"Falconfreak90 wrote:Dan needs to just shut his mouth about BGSU. Damn dude...I am losing more respect for him every day.
Count me in the group that is happy Coach Orr is the Captain of this ship these days. Oh, the future looks so good. Maybe we can schedule IU for a game? How excellent would that be?????
Yeah right girl!

The illustrations are fantastic. Now if we could just find a Zapruder film of Dakich watching cars pull into the lot...

I had a coworker who watched that and asked me what was up with the attendance at BG. I have told this person before about Dakich's tenure. But thanks to the great posts and Grant's fine presentation, I think he finally got it.TG1996 wrote:In his postgame presser last night, someone asked DD what it was like walking onto the floor (or at least I assume that was the question). He said "For 10 years at Bowling Green, I sat at my office window with my dad counting cars pulling into the parking lot, hoping we'd have a crowd..." (paraphrased, it was a bit longer and more satirical than that).
Someone should call in and ask him if he realized his office window faced the BA building.
By the way, he thought this thread was hilarious.

Dakich could get some big bucks if he can win a game in the tournament. Not likely with the way they are playing now.

They were a LOT better before the, ummm, switch?Falconfreak90 wrote:I have Arkansas beating IU in the first round in my bracket. I'm just not sold on IU...
Lately they've been passing the ball around and taking WAY too many threes...my does that sound familiar.
Still with White and Gordon they've got two premiere college basketball players. That team SHOULD be really good, but they're not for whatever reason. They could conceivably get on a roll. I think they win one and fall to UNC.

I think BG should schedule IU for it's home opener in the new Anderson Areaa.....but only if Dakich is still the coach at IU which I doubt he will be. I think the only way he gets the full-time job is for him to win out the NCAA tourney.
Inidana will have two games, they will beat Arkansas the first game and get trounced by NC the second game.

As do I in my facebook cbssports bracket. I just don't see IU going very far if even out of the 1st rnd. It'll be interesting to note that in the last 10 or so years that Knight has coached at Texas Tech or however long he's coached there that they have not done well in the NCAA Tourney , they always have gotten there more times than not but have done squat once in it.
