Freak, I had the same idea as you, I went with CMU as the worst in the MAC. I'll never forget that game in October 2006 in Mt. Pleasant, those people were downright mean-spirited. I've never been to Kalamazoo, but I'd imagine WMU's fans aren't much different.
At least CMU's bunch isn't as dumb as EMU's. They definitely qualify as stupidest in the MAC.

Is this for one sport? All sports? Rate the fan base as a whole? Just students? to me this is a pretty ambigious question.
Do people hate duke basketball fans because the students are clever or just mean? Maryland student basketball fans are reall a$$holes and have to be rated the worst in the ACC.

CMU is the worst...those students are so vile and hate filled it ain't funny. I've been up there twice for BG games...2002 and 2004. In 02, Mrs. Freak was with me and she swore she will NEVER step foot there again. In 04 I had the Freaklings with me and some of the crap these CMU students were spewing to us in the FAMILY lot was unreal.
I've been to WMU twice as well...1998 and 2001. They are close to CMU but not quite as bad...I cannot image when CMU/WMU play. Must be something in the water.

I've been up to WMU once for a football game and they weren't too bad from what I remember. It was their homecoming, so there was a good turnout too. I stayed up there to party that night with a friend, granted I hid all my BG stuff then and it was a great time. Given the opportunity, I'd head up there again
I've heard their hockey games are something else though. The Lawson Lunatics I think right?
