the thing that sucked again was the ride home! it took us 4hrs to get home from East Lansing. we were not on the roads very long when all the sudden everyone is stopping. We stop and sit on I-96 for about and one and half hours (i think) it was crazy. we got out and walked around. The roads were just pure ice. Finally they got the accidents clear and some salt trucks show up. We get to go. But not to far from Ann Arbor/Ypsi, we got stuck in one major snow storm~ The visablitiy was down to negative(if that can happen) I couldnt even see the front of my car it was so bad.
But we made it back to BG safely so that is all good.
Crazy snow/ice storm coming home from Nebraska getting stuck in Iowa, now 4 hr trip home from East Lansings. I think old man winter doesn't like us. lol
I think you need to quit going on road trips.
we are planning on going to Buffalo on tuesday for men's basketball but i'm going to check the weather pretty good to make sure this won't happen again!!
I checked the weather going to Buffalo 4 Women's BB. Snow flurries. It was a white-out of lake effect snow from Erie to Buf stop & go 15mph so just be ready I left around 9:30 am for the game @ 7 arrived @ 4:30
It was so bad that Curt's parents didn't come & they r in Girrard near Erie. This was in Feb. but the wind blows across that open lake & dumps the flakes. Keep going on road trips that's what you want to do it's GREAT just know that it's goin' to snow around Lake Ontario. plus coming home it snowed from Buf to west of Cleveland
I was at ice level as well, and there were many times where I caught our guys just kind of going through the motions. We're in a lull right now as a team, and from what I've heard there was a pretty heated speech given after the game from our senior class. They need a fire lit under their ass right now, because there's no more room for error. This series this weekend could very well be the most important weekend in Pooch's coaching career. He's facing a team that we've handled well this year, but he's also looking for his first playoff win. At this point, it's up to our senior's to lead the charge.

That's exactly what I wanted to hear. Good for them. GO FALCONS!
"Tonight we saw a real strong effort from our team," said BG coach Scott Paluch. (from the game recap on bgsufalcons.com)
Really Pooch??? What game were you coaching?
Just a pathetic perfromance on senior night and the fifth straight year we've lost on senior night. I was extremely disappointed with our play Saturday. I've just about had it with Coach, he HAS to win this first round series on home ice. Let's see what this team is made of.
Roll Along You BG Warriors,
Roll Along and Win for BGSU!!!
"We’ve addressed that with recruiting kids to that level. If you come to Bowling Green, you’re going to compete for a championship,” Coach Greg Brandon
I respectfully disagree with coach Scott. We played poorly tonight and even though we outshot MSU, Lerg easily handled most of what we threw at him. We better not take Lake State lightly. This series will definitely go three game IMO. We went 4-8 to finish the season and we are limping into the playoffs. I'm nervous about this upcoming series. Looks like some of the Falcon faithful are looking beyond Lake State. Three years ago we all thought we'd breeze through Alaska and then we were down 2-0 after 13 seconds of the first period of game one. Come on Falcons lets show some emotion and spirit in the playoffs!!!!!!!
I wondered if someone else would remember the last playoff series at home. Two goals in 13 seconds. BG that year would most always start it's checking line against the others teams top line. Not that night and it cost us the series. After the fisrt goal (was it something like 7 seconds in?) Paluch did not do anything. After the second goal 13 seconds in he finally changed lines. Then Alaska scored again after the 5 minute mark and the coach still don't call a timeout even then. I agree this Laker series is big and BG better be ready right from the opening faceoff. The power play has to be better and the team needs to play with more heart like earier in the season. GO BG!!
What's really sad is that I'm starting to think that some of our early success was the result of teams taking us lightly and/or not knowing how to match up with us. Now teams have adjusted, and we're seeing the results. Look at the 3 series with ND, Ferris, and WMU. The 2nd go round against those teams we were not as good as we were the first time around. I really hope that our 2nd series against Lake Superior doesn't follow this trend.
24. Quality provider of the truth, for better or for worse.
the team played very well and what saw was the gap between the top four in the CCHA and the rest of us. We played a good game and got beat, its what happens.
Coach has been doing a great job, and there are more great things on the horizon, this was season has been a dramatic step forward and the coaches and the players are to be commended for this outstanding effort.
