If you can think of a way to make it an iCountdown, instead of one for use by most of the population, I'm all ears.

I'm sure with some f'n around I could probably get a Dashboard up. But, I'm going to be working everyday through next Thursday, sooooooo it may take awhile.

Alright, first let me preface by saying I DID NOT create this widget. That credit belongs to the original designers. I adjusted a couple things to make it BG friendly.

This is a stand-alone widget that will give you a second-by-second countdown until the 2008 Season Opener. It can also be adjusted to anything you want, so feel free to play around with it. Simply click on the picture above, extract the .wdgt file, double-click and you're done.

System Requirements:
Mac OS X with at least 10.4
