A few years ago, they missed winning the MAC tourney by the skin of their teeth. They have also had a recent MAC POTY. It is amazing how far that program has fallen.bgsufalcon24 wrote:Is correct pronounced Fuffalo.![]()

I hope we can pick up where we left off after Kent State and go up to Buffalo and get a road win. A BG victory would ensure nothing less than at least a .500 finish in the MAC for the Falcons. I would say this is certainly a game we can go up there and win, but we’re going to have to play well to do so. We’re only 1-5 on the road in the MAC (only win at Ball State) but Buffalo is only 1-6 at home in the MAC (only win vs. EMU). I’d love to see us go up there and just stick it to UB after the disaster finish from last year (the loss from the locker room). BG has actually lost its last three games in Buffalo and hasn’t won up there since the 2001-02 season.

What? I realize we aren't world beaters. And MAC road wins are tough to come by. But how we aren't favored over a 2-12 team is mind blowing. I hope Coach Orr lets the players in on this.BGSU33 wrote:UB is a three-point favorite over BG......time to prove them wrong again.

On a related note, this ABJ writer thinks BG is a bottom feeder this year. Really?JWEIII wrote:What? I realize we aren't world beaters. And MAC road wins are tough to come by. "Kent State went from the highest of highs to the lowest of lows in a span of a week.
After a win over St. Mary's (Calif.) Feb. 23 that garnered the Golden Flashes a national ranking in the regular season for the first time in school history, they promptly fell flat in an 89-83 loss to one of the Mid-American Conference bottom feeders in Bowling Green on Saturday."

If we still have a chance at a 1st round bye in the tourney, how, exactly, are we a bottom feeder?

Re: Buffalo...
If I remember correctly, they coughed up a 19-point lead with 13 minutes to play against Ohio and lost. Biggest choke job in MAC tournament history if you ask me.BleedOrange wrote:A few years ago, they missed winning the MAC tourney by the skin of their teeth. They have also had a recent MAC POTY. Do we still have a shot at a first round bye? I thought the sweep at the hand of the zips would take us out of contention for that.Falconfreak90 wrote:

Either way, doesn't matter. We're definitely a middle-feeder, not a bottom-feeder

I cannot remember which Kent player attempted the three from downtown BG, but you should have heard Coach Orr as he took it and when he missed miserably - "Aw no. Aw no. This ain't St. Mary's. Get outta' here with that!"Falconfreak90 wrote:[On a related note, this ABJ writer thinks BG is a bottom feeder this year. Really?
