BG fell to 1-win Villanova today, 10-8. BG had an 8-4 lead before letting it get away. We're now 0-4 on the Florida trip with four games to go.
GO BG!!!
After looking at the statistics,we really need some of our upperclass pitchers to get it in gear, and show some leadership on the field! So far Brian Hangbers is the only one (jr/sr pitchers) that has had a good outing, other than Frank (transfer). Some of the younger guys and most of the position players are doing a decent job at the plate.

The records of Miami and Kent State do not surprise me at all. These two always seem to schedule games against some of the best teams in the country in the non-conference season, and for Miami, this year is no exception. Miami opened the season with a tremendous task ahead of it facing four consecutive Top-25 teams including the defending national champion (#9 Arizona State, #7 Oregon State, #3 Vanderbilt, #25 Louisiana-Lafayette). Kent State has also faced #2 North Carolina and #24 St. John’s and played a three-game series vs. a solid Winthrop team with a weekend series at Washington State up next. Furthermore, WMU is 6-2 and off to its best start since 1971, Akron went 2-2 in a series vs. West Virginia, and Ball State went 2-2 at both UAB and New Mexico State.JoeFalcon wrote:Other MAC records so far:
