First round predictions

Post by MACMAN »

in looking at the matchups for the first round who do you think is mostlikely to move on to round two?

Im thinking
1. Ferris over the broncos in 3 games the final being tight
2. Ohio State over Northern
3. BG over the Lakers
4. Alaska over Nebraska even though you would think they shouldnt, I just think they will.

if all that pans out

Here's my picks.

Ferris beats Western 2-0, neither game is even close. Next.
Northern beats OSU 2-1, OSU will take one as they are the more physical team, but Northern has more talent and is at home.
BGSU beats LSSU 2-1, BG is more talented, but is too inconsistent to sweep a Laker team that is playing better right now. Home advantage is big.
Alaska beats Nebraska 2-0, I think Alaska's goalie gets hot and shuts Nebraska down for the only road victory of the weekend.
24. Quality provider of the truth, for better or for worse.

My picks are simple:
All four home teams advance
The BG-LS and the OS-NM series will go 3 games, the others will be sweeps

Ferris sweeps Worstern. I think the Bulldogs are the one team that didn't get a first round bye that can get to the Joe. I was very impressed with them when they came to BG.
Northern sweeps OSU.
Alaska beats UNO in 3 games. I think Rogers can steal two games for the Nanooks and UNO hasn't played well at home this year.
Lake beats BGSU in 3 games. I just don't have a good feeling about this series. We've struggled at home and have been so inconsistent you don't know what team will show up. We can be good friday, bad saturday, and good again on sunday or we can be bad friday, good saturday, and bad on sunday. I think we will do the latter.

BG beats LSSU- we shut down Nathan Perkavich we shut down LSSU
UNO stomps Alaska- Fairbanks sucks
Dave Ellett is a hero. A Bowling Green Falcon and a Former Jet and Maple Leaf. What more can a Winnipegger ask for.

Ferris over WMU - no brainer sweep. FSU playing well at the right time.
NMU over OSU in three. OSU shows flashes at time which will get them one win.
UNO over Alaska in three.
LSSU over BG in three. My heart tell me we take in three, but my brain says Lakers in three.
