We played two good periods, and got away with a sloppy second.
That MAY have been the smallest crowd I've ever seen here. Box score says 865.

Despite a sloppy second period, a nice win for the Falcons. However that had to be the smallest crowd I've seen at a game in years. No students, no band and small crowd equals no atmosphere whatsoever.

Hey Niz: my phone's dead right now so I couldn't return your call. It's looking like tailgating's going to be a no for tomorrow. I checked the weather and it's supposed to be 6 degrees with the windchill tomorrow. I will catch you at the game though.

Great to hear that the Falcon Icers got the win to start off the series...they better take care of business tomorrow night and avoid a third game!

None. But at least I don't cause them to lose, Plagueboy. :-D

The weirdest part of the game was the fact that I could actually HEAR myself when I yelled. So I yelled extra, extra loud. I'm resting up my voice for tomorrow. It just freaked me out for once having no one right behind me since I'm in the front... I thought once we got goals the crowd was loud. The few students that were there were yelling as loud as we could.

I hope for a better turnout tomorrow!

...all the better to taunt "tool" Wilson with ;)

Well, we know one thing, the atmosphere won't be so quiet if the series does end up in a decisive third game Sunday night. There won't be a blizzard to deal with, and the students will be back.

What!?! You're pussin' out because it's only 6 degrees? Come on, until the windchill hits the negative factor, you gotta show up and represent.
Just kiddin' Drew. I've grown soft out here in Cali. Anything below 50 and I'm bitchin' and moanin'.
I've been followin' the icers though. Let's go out and get the sweep.
