We are planning on making the trip out. We're planning on going to Boise State and Pittsburgh too if everything works out, but it would help out a lot once the MAC releases the final MAC schedule so we can see what all games we're going to be able to make. We were just in Laramie, Wyoming this past summer. We made a stop up there while vacationing in Boulder, Colorado. I liked Wyoming’s stadium. It sort of reminded me of what BG’s stadium would look like if you put upper decks on both sides of what we have now (just grandstands), minus our endzone facility. Both of Wyoming's endzones had either a videoboard or scoreboard in it and they were both tree-lined with tall evergreen trees. The basketball arena sits just outside of the northwest corner of the stadium and they were building a new fieldhouse just outside of the northeast corner (which I would guess is probably open by now).

Two things that I got a kick out of at the stadium were, one, the giant cowboy boot in the one corner of the north endzone, and two, the “Welcome to 7220 Feet” painted in between the lower and upper decks on the east side. Wyoming is the highest stadium above sea level in D-I. And yes, the air is thin up there. Just walking up to the top of the stadium, you could tell you weren't getting as much out of every breath. It’s definitely an advantage for the Pokes. The elevation in Laramie is so deceiving because while the town/campus sits in the high plains, you are way above sea level. I also liked the west part of campus by the oval (I think it was called Prexy’s Pasture), nice buildings, landscaping and we also stopped by and saw “Big Al” while we were there – the dinosaur on display in the geological museum on campus. Seemed like a nice place and I'm looking forward to a home-and-home series with Wyoming. Just please, please don't pull out of this series after we play out there like some teams have done to us.

Games at War Memorial are pretty interesting experiences. I might make it out to Laramie from Northern Virginia for the game if my schedule works out.

Wyoming's looking a little more likely. I'll be interning next semester instead of taking classes, so heading there for a Saturday game looks good. If Boise becomes a weekday game again, though, that looks out.

just having fun with the dude, this tool was over on the UVA board all last year just repeatedly talking about their victory over UCLA, over and over again, occasionally he'd throw in their victory over Ole Miss as well. He is quite the character. But now he has something else to talk about.

Try going thru Akron/Canton Airport. To Laramie, it's about $433 and Boise, $320 (per person). Akron/Canton is the way to go in NE Ohio...I won't fly out of Hopkins unless I absolutely have to.

There's no way I can afford to fly all four of us out to either game...simply won't happen. I am trying to see about flying into Philly if we play at Temple, though.

Mike, Thanks for the info....forgot about Akron-Canton...we flew out of there on our honeymoon 2 yrs. ago...and It WAS cheaper than Hopkins...Biggest problem now is Amy's wedding on Oct. 3...I know that Joyce is going to be tied up with some things...If I could go with someone else (in case of a shower etc.) I might be able to swing it.

you could fly into Denver an rent a car, that was the norm for the UVA fans who made the trip
