Sounds like the 'Dogs have to prove themselves besides a very successful first season. Take it for what it is, it's disappointing but the selection committee isn't going to select them until they establish themselves. They'll be there next year if they continue off this very good season.

Without not knowing much about how the selection is done, I will agree that Adrian got boned. Losing Fogs was a pretty big loss for us, but it's great to see him succeeding. I'm sure he wouldn't switch jobs with DC.

Editing for language and moving... as this has nothing to do with BGSU Hockey.

Here's the explanation on the selection process in regards to Adrian:

http://www.uscho.com/news/college-hocke ... lysis.html

It's rather lengthy, but does explain a lot!

Also, in case you didn't catch it, Mitch Albom pushed for the Adrian bid on ESPN:

http://www.uscho.com/news/college-hocke ... nESPN.html
"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."
~~USCHO Poster
"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

I equate reading a post by MACMAN to going to a Klan Rally... I don't intend to attend either event. Not will I go to an Anne Coulter book signing .

I am glad the administrator moved and edited this post for content. It was offensive. And I spend a lot of time on construction sites, so my ears are not made of china.

As my mother would say.... if you use foul language, it only shows your lack of education. Unfortunately there are times when my education is not used to its fullest.

FF - Thank you for the informative links. Adrian would be well-suited to strengthen their schedule and maybe attempt to join another conference. The committee is there to make sure that someone does not pad their schedule with weaker opponents - seemingly having an incredibule season - and come to the tournament and get spanked.... thereby embarassing themselves and cheapening the tournament. I don't think there was any underhandedness on Adrian's part, they are a young program and it will take time for them to schedule worthy opponents.
